    A new patch and seems nothing about grenades, blackjacks and puckles,the dev team really have to test this things or at least they should listen the community about what is the new meta and what is wrong about this. How about give me 200 grenades and ill go directly to 5 puckles near the wall where the puckles can't shoot(450hp+armour+food+medkit) im still alive ill use my medkit im full hp I'll throw few nades near the puckles,puckles dead, -ill use my climbing pick to the enamy top base,maybe few more puckles or not who cares less nades or more in my inventory, from the top roof of the base try to stop me when i can spam nades every second, -who cares about about your 1 wall layers or 3 or 5 (300dmg/s,18000dmg/minut,36000dmg/2min),try to kill me inside your base with a weapon when i can jump and throw grenades like crazy (450hp/good armour/food)You Can't! This was an example only for 1 person but let's think what will be the situation when is more than one. This is how the players from biggest companies dissaparead after the night,this how most of the tames are dead in EU PVP A3 A4 B4 B5 C4 C5 etc,this is how all breeders left the game and not only.Is not nice to lose all your work in few minutes not hours. What is the point to declare war and use the mortar when i have 200 "mortar shoots" in my inventory ? What is the point to Breed tames 1 month for good stats when one naked guy with blackjack can unmounted me from the tame,you know a unmounted tame is dead by the enamy swivel tame if you lose the tame control for few seconds. What is the point to spam Puckles when is enough 2 grenades and the puckles are destroyed and also seems the puckles doesnt react when the server is full (10 fps/255 ping). What is the point to spam Towers/Puckles/Ballista when the enamy cannon bear/horse have a insane range? What is the point to chase someone which is low hp when he can heal under the water with his medkit in 4 seconds. What is the point to be full gear/food when a naked can grappling hook me and drag me close to a puckle or whatever,no chance to escape from the grappling hook.(give me something) This a short list which was discussed inside a big alliance and nobody is happy how is the meta now, even the enamy are worried about how the game evolved but evolved in a bad direction and everyone is waiting for an answer. Directly from EU PVP with concerns. Easy fix: -Limit the amount of the nades who can be carry by a player/add weight/add more time reload etc. -Increase the damage/resistence for Puckles.(are no longer effective) -Decrease the range of cannon horse/bear on the land. -Fix the problem with grappling hook with a minigame so at aleast we have a chance to escape. -Fix the blackjack -Fix the problem with the medkit healing under the wather or in wather.     hi everyone, just wanted to give a shout out and a warm thank you for the wonderful admins on the official servers, i had an issue with a glitched foundation and they fixed it within hours of me reporting it. great work and a special thanks to @Voodoofor helping me out. much appreciated

    Guys i really enjoy my pirate life inside your persistant Atlas world. I just dont like how you absolutely focus on mega patches only for mega tribes. I am quite sure that the majority of your players are solos/small tribes/casuals. Why lock them out from fun stuff like subs and torpedoes ? One of the big advantages in Conan Exiles is the ability for everybody to gain anything solo. Not easily, but with the correct preparation and planning. Please consider a similar strategy and i am quite sure that the 50.000 players from game launch in december will be back here soon. Dont let the Atlas galleon crush into the next iceberg.

    No!! No fast travel for ships, period. Atlas is supposed to be a huge world. No one has to sail the whole map. The resources are placed where really, one only has to sail a quarter of the world. Maps? Stick to the ones close to home. Sail a few sectors away to find higher level maps in or next to your sector, if ya want. Discoveries, yes. But why the rush to get 2500 discoveries? This is not an instant gratification game. I don't think survival/sandbox games should be. Take the time to smell the roses on what should be a long journey. We rush around so much in real life, try the opposite and you may just enjoy something you would have missed. Adding ships, activities when sailing, etc. Fine. But no warp speed sailing ships, tyvm.

    I don't know about the bear dying... But it'd be amusing if there was an RNG chance that each shot could cause the bear to panic and flee.

    Tutorial: Tattoo's, Flags, and You! Hey everyone, After seeing the great work by u/Mijeman from this thread and seeing the comment from u/BurlyusMaximus, I felt like I needed to deep dive into the mechanics of being able to upload artwork. (Not everyone is as talented as Mijeman, I mean just look at this.) I've done a lot of customized content for APB (All Points Bulletin), POTBS (Pirates of the Burning Sea), just to name a few... and I'm looking forward to bringing more creations to Atlas as we move through early access and release! Now please forgive the roughness of this guide and it's images. I really just wanted to put this together so the community had a better idea on how to bring in images to customize their characters, companies, and ships. Please let me know if anything is unclear or if there are questions. Requirements outside of Atlas: ARKpnt Editor (Version 1.23 updated June 8, 2018) can be found here and on this thread, Photoshop/GIMP/Image editing software Character template which I made can be found here: Template 1 and Template 2 Character Template: So this is a rough mockup I made today. It was a little difficult as anytime I started adding a ton of color the game would disconnect me, I would come back and lost all my progress as well as my dyes. As you can tell it's not really complete, so hopefully we can get this fully fleshed out later. Alright, let's get to it! Step 1: Create a paintbrush. You'll need the following materials: 1 Hide 20 Thatch 1 Wood Step 2: Create some dye. I recommend just doing one color initially to set up your templates, then once you get the hang of things you can go nuts with color. Dye generally requires berries and a fully filled waterskin (100 units). Be sure to have a rain barrel, open the inventory slots of the barrel, place the skin into it, and it will fill (as long as the actual barrel has water available). Each 100% waterskin will yield 5 dyes of your chosen color. Step 3: Create your base file If you're going to make a tattoo, you'll need to equip the paintbrush and right click. This will open the bodypaint/tattoo window. Be sure you click 'Tattoo' at the bottom to change over. Go ahead and drag the dye over onto the paintbrush to apply the paint. Once the bar is filled you can then select the brush and start painting on your character. (Remember you don't have to waste a ton of paint or be fancy, we're just doing this so we can save over it.) Once that is complete, choose the 'Save Paint' button at the top. The game will then prompt you to enter in a name, go ahead and do that now and jot it down. If you're going to make a flag, you'll need to equip the paintbrush and left click your claim flag. It's a similar process so just follow along. Step 4: Find your file and prepare it in ARKpnt Remember the name you jotted down? No? Guess you'll have to go back and see what you called it... do you have it now? Awesome! You'll find these files in a folder similar to this path: Steam\SteamApps\common\ATLAS\ShooterGame\Saved\MyPaintings Go ahead and fire up ARKpnt Editor and click on 'Load ARKpnt file' Load your basic .pnt file to establish the dimensions. This will be helpful when you go to re-upload the file. Step 5: Open the character template in your image editing software I apologize that it's so rough, but you can use this as your base for placement locations on your character. Be sure to take the image you want to use and overlay it where you want it to appear. Once you have your placement set, be sure to hide any other layers besides the tattoo you wish to use. Step 6: Convert the .png file to a .pnt file Go back into ARKpnt Editor and click on 'Load Image'. You'll now be using this program to open your .png file that you edited with your tattoo. Be sure to click 'Yes' when it asks you if you want it to reduce the colors (in the few tests I've ran, items just show better when this option is selected.) You should now see a large grey box and your tattoo! Let's go ahead and now click on 'Save as ARKpnt file'. You'll be using the program to SAVE OVER your base file that we quickly made in-game. Be sure you say that you're okay with saving over the file. Step 7: Get back ingame and apply your new tattoo! Go back into Atlas, use the paintbrush on yourself, and now click on the left icon to open the paint file. It should still retain the old name you gave it, but it should now allow you to apply the new design! Be careful, if you added tons of color and fancy stuff- it's going to eat up a LOT of dye. This is why I suggested starting out with something basic/easy. The game will automatically apply the new design, use up your dye, and you'll be sailing the seas in style from now on! I hope this makes sense. I'm available on here and reddit under Din_Narcotic if you have questions or if I can be of any assistance. I hope this helps people out!

    Something with the new 4X radius expansion for enemy foundations in water is utterly bugged. Was able to place foundations, pillars, and a buoy fine last night and now with no enemy foundations or shipyards anywhere nearby above or below the water - I cannot place new foundations, pillars, roof tiles into the water, or buoys due to the "Too close to enemy foundation" error message. Even existing ramps into the water cannot be extended. Several players searched thoroughly for any non-guild foundations or pillars under the water anywhere in the area. Nothing. There are pre-patch guild foundations below the water along the shoreline. Foundation or any tile cannot be attached to or placed near the existing foundations. "Too close to an enemy foundation or gate."

    I Must Admid spawns are weird atm. I love the golden age changes, but in Other grids there is either non sotd or 50+. Saw that behavior After they changed spawns for sotds in golden Age. From South to North E11 i Killed 50 ships just by passing by And there were Plenty more.

    There are a lot of reasons why players have moved on from Atlas, but, on PvP servers, the constant demolishing of everything one has built (often when offline) is going to be in the top three. The bear cannon - one single asset has probably cost Atlas hundreds or thousands of players. "Hey, it's a PvP game! blah, blah". Yes, I know. I play for the PvP and I've blown into many a base and sunk dozens of ships - I've used it a lot, and I'm telling you that the bear cannon is a ridiculous weapon. We've done a lot of testing on both official and private servers, and a manned bear cannon will out range ANY NPC-manned defensive weapon. That means that all of those defensive positions around your base are utterly useless if you're not also there at the time of the attack. And since there's no in-game notification (other than the log) of an attack across grids, chances are that you won't be present when any particular attack occurs. So, two suggestions: 1. Cut the range of bear-mounted cannons by 50%. Not 10% or 20%... by 50%. It's a serious change, and the folks who enjoy running off your new players will certainly cry bloody murder, but it'll make base defense meaningful again. Seriously, when in all of military history has a towed weapon ever been able to out range a fixed gun emplacement? 2. Allow weapon-mounted NPCs to notify company members (across grids) when they've agro'd on a pathfinder.

    Glad to see some players considering boat docking, and Freeport bank as an option. I've been posting about it for a couple of weeks. Bottom line, if there is no Freeport bank, or safe storage of some kind for items and boats, only near max size companies will be left in the end. My suggestion, is much more limited than yours, in order to help smaller companies more than large companies, but even a bank that stores everything for you would be an improvement over what they have now.

    Again this is Atlas not any of those other games is the same. This game was designed to be group against group action. You want solo go play fortnite with the other kiddies.

    It was my understanding it was either boarding or raise/lower anchor at least once every 3 weeks. It's intended to remove inactive bits and pieces, which is an excellent thing.

    So basically you want endgame bosses and endgame content to be soloable right? You will NEVER do endgame content in any MMO solo, never. You will always need to interact with other players. Just like in Atlas. You either form a company or alliance, thats how it goes.

    I am pretty sure it is supposed to just be rendered. I wonder if it has to do with them changing the ship unclaim that is making it wonky. Also if you have a ship that you haven't stepped on in 3 weeks do you really need that ship? ~Lotus

    More uses for Crew would be very welcome, from gardening, feeding tames to base mainenance. Stone wall's around the base and wooden buildings within, is what we do (PVE of course).

    I'd be happy with either of these suggestions. I only have a small base, but I don't bother with torches or lanterns because of the fact they will just burn away when i'm offline so end up refilling them so often. Having an NPC housekeeping would be good. The repairing structures would also be good, it's one reason why i'm upgrading everything from wood to stone because of the pesky Cobras damaging everything.

    The change to building in water that was introduced in v104.14 (Any structure that checks for enemy foundations when placed in water now has a 4x enemy foundation check radius) has been causing a lot of headaches for people trying to build on settlements. It's been over a month now that no one on the island other than the settlement owner can build a shipyard or dock for their ships. This is not an isolated incident, as many other people elsewhere have been having the same issue as well. I (and many others) believe the check radius is excessively large. My tests put the radius at roughly equal to render distance, which is far larger than it needs to be. This makes it so that anyone that has a neighbor cannot build a shipyard or dock, and that this change was introduced after people had already chosen their building locations means that many people had already set up closer together than this change allows. I understand the thinking behind this balance change, but I feel as though a better solution could be implemented, or at the very least the radius could be reduced without compromising the effectiveness. PvE servers are hit the hardest by this issue as the check radius provides zero benefit to game balance. This change has done more harm than good, and I feel it needs to be readdressed.

    You know whats really bothersome? Its the fact that most everyone that bought this game bought it for the fact of it was going to be a mass multiplayer. Now the same people want to gripe about how hard it is solo? Give me a break.... What part of "MASS MULTIPLAYER" screams "SOLO"? As far as end game content all of it can be done in smaller groups. We have about 7-8 active players in our group and have most everything done. Its not that we did it with just us but we went out made allies and did it with them. PS. And for the love of god stop comparing apples to oranges. This is Atlas.... Not Eve, connan, Or whatever other game you want to compare it to. This game was designed to be large groups for large scale action.....

    and the ability to cool the area and u can drink it as well , the ice box is useful for breeding if u need to cool the area down , not all just for the preserving qualitys

    Do you know EVE Online? The mmo with the purest and most unforgiving asymmettical pvp ever? Guess what, there are people in the game that will single handedly wipe the floor with your lousy, ignorant, arrogant ass. Or at least they will escape in 99.9% of the cases. I find it incredibly repulsive and arrogant for a member of a big tribe to tell the smaller ones to just become bigger and that it was ok to lock smaller tribes out of the chances of ever succeeding against a larger group. Fucking brainless zerg wankers. It is a fundamental flaw with the game that progress of any sort is always one dimensional. Bigger is always better. Larger numbers are always better. There is no way of exploiting the fact that the opposition brought too many big guns and too few of the small ones.

    I vote YES... I think the Land based cannons should have a 20% Better range then the ship cannons.... So if a ship really wants to bombard then it HAS TO COMMIT and enter the danger range in which its going to be shot at FIRST... Absolutely this makes perfect sense!!! Land Based cannons realistically had huge range advantages in real life too... if I ship wanted too try and take out the cannons on a fort they would often attempt to send a party ashore and assault the fort rather then commit to a dangerous assault with the ship!

    The game needs a forced upkeep cost for structures like a resource bin if it’s empty near your structures they degrade at an accelerated rate. this way if someone just puts up a taming cage and doesn’t leave a resource bin near it the cage is gone within 24 hours!

    Im pretty sure they will add the Frigate in this next mega update (or at least hope they will cuz honestly it should have happen long ago) If u see their discord emotes theres one of a Frigate, they could've chose any ship currently in the game but they choose a Frigate, thats enough for me to dream about new ships coming to the game.

    The main reason people are leaving PvP is because it's nothing more than a grief fest. There is no OBJECTIVE, REWARD SYSTEM, ACCOUNTABILITY SYSTEM, or actual REASON to PvP. I stopped playing on PvP because the only time there was PvP was by accident and most of the destroying happened while we were offline. I can't even find a word to describe how bad/stupid/ignorant/boring/sadistic it is. Can anyone help me find a word to describe PvP in Atlas? What is the objective of PvP in Atlas? To just wipe people out and then gloat in Global? It's like a round of Fortnight except that it takes months to build up instead of a few minutes and there is no winner or scoreboard. So when all that work goes down the shitcan because someone figured out an exploit or easy way to grief people offline, who would want to do that all over? I like PvP games and FPS games but this game has ZERO to make me want to play the PvP side right now.

    they seem to have lost their way a bit with the games content and what players were expecting , we want less focus on tames and more focus on meaningful crew interactions (abilitie to give them any weapons have them fight along side us, have them farm resources with us instead of relying on tames ), we want more ship types , sail types , more weapon types , more sea based content , if they dont get there act together even the console crowd when its released wont stick about long ,

    @Jatheish First of all, the act of actually sailing is great. Sea of Thieves had amazing sailing mechanics, and I feel you nailed most of them. The problem they had was not enough sea, islands everywhere. The vastness of Atlas is a defining characteristic, compromised only by the god awful fast travel system currently in place (beds). As far as fixing that to make it better, please consider the following; 1. Waves don't seem to have much/any affect on the boat when its in motion. This could be made more dramatic, at least for smaller boats, or frankly left alone for the time being. This is super minor. 2. Increase sight range. What is your biggest sailing issue, its SoTD popping up, its structures popping up, its circling around enemies that you know are somewhere right there and not being able to see them until almost cannon range. This is a terrible problem to have. The sea is flat, we should be able to see a ship coming a long way off. We should be able to see some sign that there is a gigantic wall in front of us before we are into it. This is a big deal for anyone who has lost a vessel to something that just magically popped up out of nowhere. 3. Increase backup speed. Parking sucks, and can take several minutes. The best fix is to simply increase reverse speed 3-5x its current value. QoL. 4. The ability to plot a course. I try my best to not advocate adding assets that don't already exist. Perhaps though we could steal a map table from Sea of Thieves, or just use your in game Atlas (num8). Put NPCs on the sails and helm, and put a point on the map that the NPCs will sail to. I would even concede to SoTD being non aggro while auto sail is engaged. I feel this would be far more preferable than increasing the use of fast travel. Now, the better solutions to making sailing better will be found outside of actually sailing. 1. This is your biggest one. Ships, we have 4, and only 3 are even viable options. We have umpteen+ different choices of tames, that are a requirement or you end up like @vaylain thinking it takes more than an hour to make a schooner. However only (3) viable ship choices. On top of that, there is no benefit to the smaller ships outside of taking less resources to make. We need more ships, we need more ship balance.In the theme of that, there would be nothing wrong with making different classes of ships withing their size modules. 2. Durability of ships. Another major problem you have with unhappy sailors is how utterly flimsy the boats are. While anchored, the boat itself should be 100% disabled from taking damage or doing damage (perhaps with the exception of war declarations). Some people have lobbied for ships in a bottle, an over the top solution. What do I really really want when I login? My boat, right where I left it. Why am I dissuaded from sailing to everywhere during the week? Because I have to find a safe harbor to park in or my boat WILL be destroyed, because it CAN be destroyed. This greatly discourages people form making long trips, or taking the boat out for much of anything at all unless they have to. This takes nothing away from the game, and adds soo much to it. On top of all that, when I do enter a melee on the seas, why should a common boat be planked in 1 volley? The damage differential is lopsided atm. An important thing to consider when using numbers and % scaling in games, keep them small. Or else you end up with exploits and horrid balance issues (guillotine anyone?). 3. The economy, err, the lack therefor of. So long as there exist no form of usable auction house, there will not be an economy. People say just going to islands gets boring. Indeed, we need a reason for traffic aside from our immediate needs. I should be able to make good boats, and put them up for sail. Along with everything else I can craft. The free ports should be more than Slaves-R-Us. They should be a booming economic hub. Damn.. I went longer than I intended. -CS

    Someone is cheating in the PVE NA I saw 3 bear one with a cart walking alone and killing all animals beside they path, is no one riding or walking beside just the animal alone this is happening dally. Can someone kick this cheater out pls.

    came across the same, the beef buns takes 3 meat to cook but gives no vitamin B. Once you get into intermediate cooking you can balance your diet, with fish & chips and pork pies. both are a bit heavy on the meat / fish & maize / wheat requirements and provide a bit too much food when not realy active. It would be nice to be able to get a balanced diet with a few more pairs of food or drinks, as some crops can't grow in every biome. (we're lucky only laking being able to grow potatos, but can dig them up quite nicely)

    Bug: Some cooked food do not provide vitamin increase in respective areas. Server: NA PVP Colonies Grid: global Have so far tested rosemary chicken and similar level foods and these only give a increase of food in one area. For example rosemary chicken gives only vitamin D and not Vitamin A as its suppose to. Also appears that some buffs may not be working as intended for certain foods but have not yet tested myself only what others have said.

Mortal Online Played this Solo and enjoyed myself. Darkfall Online Guess what I played this Solo too and enjoyed myself... Atlantica Online Again Played this solo too and enjoyed myself... I could keep listing MMORPG's but I think you may get the point.... Just because it's Massively MULTIPLAYER doesn't mean MULTIPLAYER should be MANDATORY to have fun!
