    Joining the PTR The ATLAS Public Test Realm is available to all players by opting into the Steam Beta branch. You can join the PTR by following these steps: 1) Right click on the ATLAS game in your steam library and select "properties" 2) Select the "Beta" tab on the popup as indicated below: 3) Locate publictestrealm in the drop down menu and select that. 4) Select close then launch ATLAS. You may need to restart your Steam Clients to make sure you see the publictestrealm branch as a beta option. We will be reopening our PTR Bug reporting channels on the Discord and here on the Forums to coincide with the launch of the PTR. Instructions on opting into the PTR Bug Report channel on the ATLAS Discord can be found in #discord_news.

    Devs, @Jatheish specifically here... Have you ever openly discussed in detail the acceptance of engine limitations that dramatically effect server performance? Allowing a single structure to be in the radius of 15,750 other structures and the sprawling bases is horrible for PC performance. Find a better solution to bases other than layering, such as upgradable walls. NPC crew ai it's horrendous to deal with, especially on laggy servers. Why are NPCs even needed like they are now? If i put a suggestion here, it'll derail the thread, but can't you think of a better way to have ships be manned on cannons and sails than NPCs as yet another addition strain on server performance? What's the performance hit of all the ships in our harbors? Why don't we have ships in a bottle feature yet? Like ark cryopods. Can we please get harsher ship limits? Tames and breeding. There has to be a better system than allowing hundreds of females to mate with a male and having all these tames in a base. Please, restrict us. Please accept limitations in the engine and prioritize performance. I'm getting to the point where i can't be bothered to pvp because performance is so bad across all the servers. So again, devs, a detailed response on this would be great. Edit to add in: pillar spamming islands is incredibly stupid. The fact you can do it, the fact it is so important to do for pvp... Seriously, address this crap. Take the time to address all the bullshat pvp meta mechanics we all use that hurts the game. Show is you're aware of the state of the game in detail.

The https://exploreatlas.co.uk website has been working on the iOS and Android apps for the last couple of weeks now and we are preparing to submit these to Apple's App Store and Google's Play.     Yeah, it recently came to our attention on our island in K13 that there is a map point WAY the hell up on top of a spire. So we decided to build a three stage elevator all the way to the top for people to transport tames with ... it'll be a lot of work cranking 60+ times to get the tame up but it's better then having to abandon the map and figured it would be more compact then a ramp system that zig-zags all over the place.

    Who says sailing is dull? Tonight, got swallowed by a SOTD, got stuck in its belly, couldn't escape. Had to hack it from within ...... with a hatchet... Got loot though!

    Alright you devs! Whose brainy idea was it to redesign the appearance of the most beautiful animal in the entire mod so that it now looks like a cross between a zebra and something with Michael Jackson's skin disease? Ugh. Please change it back again! At least something in the mod should be gorgeous even if they're not all that useful.

There is 4 codes, which can be found at the Atlas Taming & Stats Calculator -> https://globy.dev/animals The firsts who find the codes, will be rewarded by 1000 golds each (so if you found the first and third code before anyone else, you will win 2k golds). The first one who find and assemble the 4 codes in the right order, will win 500 mythos and this level 35 (you must be on Official : Eu - PvE to win the prices ) How to find the codes ? With the clues down below ! Each code has his own clue/enigma, you don't need to find the first code to find the others, they are not related Here is the last mini-game to help you, you can try it (but the price for this one as already been claimed).     Test realms or whatever will not save this game, Ark and Atlas are both dead games and that did not happen by accidenet. Fix the problems inside your company and then mayb maybe you will slowly see the games being played again...

    I have questions. 1. Do you always talk with that heavy French accent? 2. Does your company offer member drama and officer power struggles? I don’t want to join one of those boring companies where people get along and act like real human adults who don’t need lots of therapy. Please tell me you’re not one of those. They are incredibly unexciting. 3. Do you guys really have to use Discord? I prefer ventrillo. I would consider joining if everyone switched to ventrillo. 4. How soon can I get highest officer rank and full admin permissions? No reason.

    Hi and sorry for my english i'l try to do my best. I play on EU PvE, actually we spend the most of our time on the sea and the sea is really boring. We spend many hours on our ship with nothing to do. Please wilcard try to do something, i do know how (minigame, quest, craft etc...).

    I've said it before and I'll say it again. Meat for tames is ridiculous. It needs to either last longer, or stack higher, or both. Alternately, some new recipes for 'meat/fish kibble' for animals which stacks higher and lasts longer would be good too. Stack to 100, last as long as cultivated vegetables for preference, and make it only edible for tamed animals - no use for people, or in taming. (And please don't do something silly like make it take multiple bits of meat to make 1 kibble...) The disparity between feeding herb/omnivores and carnivores is extremely frustrating

    The sound for mining metal is too loud. It is considerably louder than all of the other sounds within the game and as a result, I have to turn down the SFX volume whenever I am farming metal but this makes it where all other sounds are barely even audible. Dev's was this intentional or could you please get this adjusted? Thank you in advance.

    Here is my Quality Of Life wish list: #1 Please allow everything that can be made in the players inventory also be able to be made in the smithy. Its silly moving mats back and forth. (very doable) #2 When your sails are 100% closed, please increase the turning and backup speed so we can dock in a reasonable amount of time! (very doable) #3 The ability to dredge. My island, and many others, have these odd "rocks" that have weird clipping mechanics that make it very un-fun to create docks and park ships and such. You cant build on them or pick at them, they exist but they don't. Maybe some way to blow them up or remove them? With restrictions or whatever? (fanciful) #4 Anchoring. Dear lord I need some rhyme or reason to this. Can you make the ability to anchor based on the distance from the island rather than depth? Or something? It boggles my mind sometimes when trying to anchor what mechanic is being used. (very doable) #5 People building 100's of foundations or posts to keep others from building in lawless ruining frames. There are islands I don't even go to anymore because the experience is so unpleasant. I don't know what the solution is, but please fix it. (doable) #6 Add snap-points to shipyards for building. I would build my entire base over mine. (doable) #7 Some sort of overlay grid system for lining up structures when in placement mode. Maybe even have it show you if it will snap with adjacent structures before you place it. (doable) #8 A command to have NPC crew unload your pet or ship. Click on one storage location and have them move it to another. (fanciful) Ill take those to start, thanks Grapeshot, I'm sure all of these will be in the next patch!!! (At least 1, 2, 4, and 5, please!)

    Just implementing the full S+ like they advertised would be a huge QoL improvement. With S+ on ARK you could move materials from storage or other crafting stations with just a couple presses of a button as long as they were within a certain distance. Loading 20K metal from an outpost onto a ship takes like 40 trips. It is so tedious I want to choke someone.

    Yeah it's a bug that's been around since release. The bag when dropped will appear on the next floor above only if it is one wall high. If the floor is two walls high then the bag drops at your feet.

    Yes devs listen even more to the ark player base. As you can see. Your game is blossoming. You are a pve player bro. You just don't realize it. Ark players who think they can pvp are the biggest fukin joke going.

    And they add in this ice cave when everyone knows it will consist of naked players running to the end of it trying to pull aggro so everyone can finish it because this game has the worst combat mechanics ever.

    Upload complete!!! We sold over 20 tames after this upload in few minutes!!! AMAZING No crows anymore and no horses anymore. We will announce it next time before we upload.

    I use my second monitor to watch movies, it is boring on long trips but I try to stop on many islands to get discoveries maps or resources, but it does feel like a large part of the game I spend at sea, as there isn't much to do once you have a well established place of residence or island of your own. I like the fact that you're almost forced to explore either for discoveries or resources, I too wish there was more to do on the ship, maybe mini games to slightly increase ship responsiveness, or speed. Maybe cleaning barnacles off the hull could increase speed slightly, maybe hang over with a grapple and have a mini game, or swabbing the deck could increase morale and reduce vitamin depletion slightly. Making the grapple more responsive or easier to hit the flotsam at full speed or even any rate would be good fun as well.

    That kind of proves it’s boring though lol. If I have to do something else instead of playing the game then that speaks volumes. That is also why I won’t be spending that much time at sea. I plan on having fun on land and not needing something else to keep me from getting bored

    Sea travel's not boring for me as I feel i constantly need to keep any eye out for SoD's. I play solo though, so I have no-one else to help keep watch. Not always fun travel, but keeps me from getting bored on long distances. Too many times have I looked away for a few seconds to find 3 or 4 ships appear in front!

    I had the same thing happen to me, hung myself and got the curse. Five real days passed and still had it. The only thing that seemed to fix it was taking my skeleton down from the rope and getting my skull back.

    I am also habing a ridiculous amount of ping across all servers. Im in south Carolina, and never had this issue until 2 weeks ago after a patch that "fixed servers". I wish this was fixed so I could actually enjoy this game..... BUMP

    every player should have a personal box. being in a company sucks cause is usually one or two guys who don't farm shit but dictate every thing and make rooms where they stash shit that only they can enter.

    Force PVE Players into PVP will only make them quit. If i want to PVP i will join PVP-Server instead of PVE.

    @Jatheish Two primary issues that need resolutions asap, basic QoL changes that would make a huge impact, and some suggestions for tames: 1) Animals falling through the mesh of boats or structures absolutely needs to be fixed ASAP. I recognize you saying above that you are making this a priority, so I'll just reaffirm how crucial this is to the player base. This has to be the #1 priority for animals; we've stopped sending bug reports about this, because it happens so much. Daily. And it was never fixed in Ark. Don't let this one slip. 2) The main thing wrong with the breeding system is how fast the temperature spikes can kill an animal. In Ark, you generally get to a point where you can leave the darn thing alone entirely for large chunks of time, as long as you're careful and watch your timers. In Atlas, even if you've got all the temperature ranges for your biome/grid known, you still have a maximum of maybe a 10 minute window where, if unobserved, the baby can die, because it can transition from a heat wave to a cold front, and no amount of insulation we've found can prevent a swing like that from killing a baby without manual adjustment. This window should be significantly longer, especially further on into maturation. You can still keep the temperature requirements, but the window for failure needs to be much larger, given the extremely long maturation time. Boosting someone else's idea: Give babies a scaling insulation buff when close to their mother. This will benefit smaller tribes who don't have as many people to do babysitting, and still make it more complex for larger tribes to manage that proximity if doing mass breeding. We also need some way to cool down a baby. It doesn't have to be huge (but more than being submerged in water). Necessary QoL changes Add armored saddle blueprints to the game (even just a bit, doesn't have to be the full 25 armor of a bear) Add Medium sized gates, for Tier 2 animals (and smaller tier 3s) Make medium and large sizes cages (like those in the Piracy tree) to hold animals on board ships for better transport. Make the "Transfer <animal> to <x>" option move them into specific, named cages, instead of to ships. Filter gathering would be amazing Add the "Dino Leash" item from ark Animal Specific Seagull - allow for a 'homing pigeon' ability where it can send weightless items like blueprints or treasure maps back to a specified location at your home base (like a special bird cage you craft) Crow - Help you spot nearby undiscovered Discovery Points with a UI element, like the Bulbdog alerting you to high level predators Sheep - Convert the hide-like resource your shear off them to a Fiber. This would help alleviate the lack of fiber in certain areas, since you could just bring along a couple sheep. Also fur just seems more like fiber then hide. Pig - Allow it to act like a super-shovel. Bonus chance to harvest worms, gold, etc from the ground Wolf - Revisit the idea of a "Pack Buff" like in Ark, as a means of boosting the wolves' currently underwhelming power level, without drastically changing the creature itself. Elephant Giraffe - should be able to gather additional thatch from trees (higher up) Bulls should get a buff to farming thatch from plants on the ground (all plants, not like how with Bears it needs to be a special plant) Shieldhorn - Its special passive ability is fantastic, but it needs a base HP boost or armor to really be a viable tank. Razortooh - Needs a stamina buff, and probably HP or armor. Seagull - Gather fish, increase Fog of War reveal distance Rabbits - on the shoulder gives a "Lucky" gold boost buff PS: While the new taming system of getting hit by the animal is somewhat annoying, I really like that it pushes taming into more of a group activity, often needing people to do the primary tame, scout/kill predators, and have someone on backup to take over if you miss the sweet spot a few times and get hurt. I like this design direction; even though I end up doing less solo taming, I have a LOT of fun on our group taming excursions into dangerous areas! Edit: PS, clarity, typo

    Pigs could be good for farming seeds, or cooking ingredients. place a lasso in the game for things that are passive flee in order to tame
