    But don't be one of those land owners that just destroys everything without communicating with the players trying to make a home on your island. Appreciate that some players want an exclusive island, but don't be one of the bad guys.

    Ahoy there fellow pathfinders. My wife and I just picked up this game and we are enjoying it a lot. We are Ark veterans, and we understand the game currently in "beta testing" so a lot of the negativity around that aspect doesn't bother us. With introduction out of the way. I really think the ridding skill needs to redone. You shouldn't have to invest a significant amount of points to ride an animal, AS LONG AS IT HAS A SADDLE. Instead, leveling of your ride skill should givenyou efficiency bonuses. More stam, weight, DPS, harvest, whatever. After all you dont need to invest levels into a captaining skill to pilot a vessel right? No, its a video game about ships, it wouldnt be fun if your forces to take points in a skill line you might not want, just to use a basic part of the game. Well animals are also a basic part of the game. From harvesting to simply riding to get somewhere fast. Im not saying getting rid of the ridding skill, rather allow people who invest become more efficient, and or allow people who invested to ride all animals, of appropriate tier, bare back.

    Just to rise that topic again : Please stop bringing new content locked away exclusively for mega companies only ! Bring the Sub in as a regular engram that everybody can aquire. I know that there are lots of (Forum) superheroes around who solo the Kraken on a raft one handed with a ramshackle knife, but for us mortals this is not that easy (unfortunately).

    It's really quite simple. Create a separate category for building structures, with different rules, if not already done. Allow them to clip into the terrain, but not crafting or storage structures. S+ has already done this for ARK when used as a mod. Objects can clip, into terrain and other objects, but crafting and storage containers that clip even just a little bit into something else, cannot be accessed. Thus no exploit. But this current coding has created the situation above...access under a would be base structure, because you cannot close it off.

    I am not opposed to investing some points into riding. I am opposed to people having to invest points into taming in order to ride. I am opposed to people having to invest points into crafting, in order to use. Create, and Use, should be two different trees, or at least two different branches in the tree. Just as you do not have to invest in Sneak in order to tame, though only a fool would not invest in sneak.

    because it has been there longer than 24hrs already , once something has been built for 24hrs it cannot be removed , even if the island changes hands if the timer is refreshing then the owner of the building is active and playing why would u want to remove them ? they were there before you ? they are entitled to build and play the game as much as you are

    So base stats can be found here. https://atlas.gamepedia.com/Bear The highest roll you could get would likely be 30 points in one stat(that's gonna be extremely unlikely and nearly impossible). I would consider 140-160% a high melee and 600-800 high health(these are possible but I've not found may of them) I've done some breeding, never resulted in a mutation no matter how many generations of inbreds were there so I'm skeptical that the system is actually in for that. However you can definitely combine stats like in Ark to make a powerhouse of a bear, the one I ended up with before the wipe was around lvl 52 base from perfect tame parents(lvl 44s). I would recommend not using campfires/grills for this like the gamepedia site says but instead to use wall hooks and hang a torch at them, saves space and can be controlled by a lever via pin code to allow for much better temperature control.

    Why people here can not see his point but only bash for his attitude? Artefacts not beeing acc bound is a problem in PVE. People seems to enjoy staying on GAR for a chance to grab one off of an unlucky guy. Fighting Hydra/Dragon is a huge time investment for smaller clans. When you are the only one in the group not getting the PS, good luck doing it again. Dealing with grifers just waiting to invalidate your time investment is not ok on PVE.

    Pretty easy. In the daytime, start with the sun. Left click and continue to hold it through out the process. Follow the direction of the shooting star to find the next star. Do as many as you can. The buff is worth it.

    I +1 this to. Sometimes you can sink a whole wall into terrain with a bit poking out, and other times, a pixel is obstructed and you can't place anything. Particularly annoying on the Galleon to. There are certain snap points introduced with some of the decking, but, sometimes, I don't want to add decking just to fill a gap. Like the S+ stuff, that would be great.

    Is this still happening? I've just built a Brig and not experienced anything like this. I'm concerned if they haven't fixed it, I feel your pain, it takes ages to build ships and i've even started a Gallion, I wouldn't want this to happen to the Gallion also, that would be a kick in the teeth.

    Do you plan to make farming more useful with more seeds? the farming ist really a nice thing to get ressources which are not growing on the own Island. I cannot plant even one of the medicine plants because they seem not to have any seeds I cannot plant any of the cooking herbs because they seem not to have any seeds. The soil restrictions on Top are preventing the grow in some Bioms/Regions. Is planned to change the soil restirictions? One could change the crafting, so that for example if you craft an crop plot with a special wood, fiber, stone etc. it fullfills the needs of a specific plant and can be placed in another biome? Is planned to introduce seeds for all plants? Is planned to introduce Glasshouses like in ARK? So we have Submarines, "electric" Lever and so on. The Glasshouse was mentioned about 100 a.d. if would not brake the lore if Atlas would implement them. Mayba combined with a heating/cooling source, like fires or Ice-Boxes? The way it is now, I have the feeling, that I can just plant plants on the Islands, where they already grow. AND, I can just plant plants, which are close to useless. Every plant I need, I have to import from other Islands.

    Few thoughts/bugs after doing close to 200 discovery's Its hard to track the discovery's since the island names and island discovery's don't show on the atlas map anymore before wipe you could see the discovery's of an island and guess where you missed one at least solution would be a separate map in the discovery tab Some discovery's do not show on the right grid. o Example Powerstone books: Get the powerstone from O7 and it shows you got the book from H11 or so (cant remember exactly the way they are swapped but its pretty much on every powerstone grid) Some discovery points are completely bugged out or almost impossible to find If you fast travel via bed's you have to die in that grid first and respawn to get the discovery If you run on a island with a tame you have to step down the tame to get the discovery It would be great if the sextant would show the discovery point locations or at least some hints

    +1 Deffinatly could use a mega patch on all the structures and how they clip together. Not just on land, but on the boats as well. I think we could amooth things out and even add some more geometric shapes to build with. Oh and while we are at it, lets put some defense back into the walls ffs. It is supposed to be stone, not paper mache.

    thanks you for making an awesome game, a few bugs id like to mention, and a few additions to the game would be awesome 1, tames when bola's spin randomly making it very hard to feed them 2, elephants and rhino's sometimes when stood in the same spot as feeding for the first 50% all of a sudden cant be fed even though the text is there, 3, i literally just used beds to port to each of our lawless outposts and the land would not render at all after 10 minutes of being on each island additions id like to see ; 1, crews being able to repair everything that is on a ship not just the planks and decks 2, being able to move all resources with 1 click from tax bank to the nearest resource chest 3, a short cut key added to ship commands that lets you unseat all crew on your ship only and not a whistle that can affect all ships near by, and by pressing said key a 2nd time puts the crew back onto their posts 4, customised sizes of gates so we are not forced to place the behemoth gate for elephants rhinos and giraffes which is ugly as hell 5, the ability to move a set amount of resources out of the resource chest instead of drag and drop massive amounts 6, the ability to move through other players so they can not block the caves for fountain of youths and power stones, also make the power stone as a none drop item on death but keep the decay on it, an example of why not being able to move through players is very bad, on age of conan my guild blocked the stairs up to the teir 2 raid for 2 weeks until the devs made it so people could walk through each other, meaning no other guild was able to do the raid at all other than us, unless they paid us so the devs fixed this issue by adopting the same system as WOW where a players body was transparent of sorts and you were able to move through it 6, increase the exp a little on ships for killing sotd, and increase the exp from maps, pre wipe it was way to high i agree 7 lvls from a masterwork map was mental and max lvling a ship in a few hours was nuts, but now you get next to no exp from killing sotd's and 1 lvl for a master work map is a joke 7 an increase in time before the flotsam from a shim of the damned disapears and make the suitcase able to be picked up with a graple hook as currently it isnt thanks again for such an awesome game cant wait to see the finished product,

    I asked questions about this on the live stream questions panel. https://www.playatlas.com/index.php?/forums/topic/70959-developer-live-stream-qa-deadline-1st-of-may/&page=2&tab=comments#comment-356262 Basically elementals are the only real threats on powerstone islands if they were to make them killable you could actually clear the islands in a non-cancerous way with the exception of the damn drake which flys all over the place like an adhd kid on a sugar rush. It is still killable in about 15 minutes on foot with carbines if you don't miss a crapload. Fire as a mechanic could use a good nerf in PvE aswell cause basically anything that hits you with fire is most likely going to kill you. 4 people can clear the island with some teamwork and good bears until the damn elementals that have no weakness because they removed the PvE weakness to balance PvP without giving us a new way to kill them. ~Lotus

    Its called progression. Its an mmo genre. You can leech Kraken on a sloop as solo. Or you can group up and defeat him by yourself. If you are too lazy to even go with your sloop to the barrier and leech Kraken don't blame devs. Megacompanies only, lol you got no clue man, no fuckin clue what you need to defeat Kraken. MMO won't be balanced around asocial solo players like you, never. Accept it or just leave it.

    Please look into this, not only does it make for sketchy buildings, it doesn't even allow us to make nice builds, i have to use foundations instead of walls because they are the only components that have good terrain clipping. Its annonying.

    I have mentioned it before and feel like it may be a good idea for them to have the tech crap as a seperate DLC. That way you can play it the way you like it and hell Grapeshot can even get a little more cash from the DLC. There's a lot of people who have given up up on it already and more will if it continues in the direction it is heading. I personally already own ARK. If I wanted to play it I would play it.

    @Gomez Addams That is true, but even on lawless you are still "managed". It's just done by a GM and a less restrictive system and rule set that can lead to 'legal' abuse in the form of trolls and griefers. On claimed islands the landowner "manages" island clean-up and can dictate stricter rules. So for those of us who's playstyles align with those restrictions it means we get to enjoy our playtime and are more protected from those same abuses that is 'legal' on a lawless island.

    There have been a couple times when the entrance to a sunken ship was actually blocked by a land feature, or the way the ship was angled on the ocean floor. That is not too often, but we have done loads of shipwrecks and just could not get into a couple. They are usually one of a few repeated layouts, and we recognized them, just could not access the entry point.

    The game itself is toxic, it only caters to a niche audience that was like, we want steam punk but not too much steam punk, just enough to throw off the balance of the game, we also want fantasy where we fight mythical creatures,, but not too much fantasy, so it is all optional, and we want pirates but not really pirates.

    I only have 1 single question. Question: Why does a blueprint sail of 120% max speed increase has the same speed of a regular non blueprint sail? Are you even aware of this non sense lie? !!!! We spend hours getting mats for the blueprints for Large speed sails and in the end they are 100% the same as a regular non blueprint sail !!!!! So we did tests and figured out better speed sails don't increase speed of ship at all. Max velocity stat simply isn't working rn. Tested with 3 brigs on 52% weight, 1 with 120% max velo sails, 1 with 104% and 1 with common speed sails. These brigs had exactly the same speed, we sailed the same direction side by side from our harbor to the end of sector. Better quality speed sails are practically just for more durability until they fix it. Don't waste materials for them.

    *fix breeding *make wind directions change more frequently *add electricity *continue working on ghost ships they are buggy This game isn't a true pirate game a mix between two different games I enjoyed ark and sea of thieves. And its been a good source of entertainment. I would love for the army of the damned to be more active on the shores were you have to fend off the island ect. So many ideas for this game... For those who say keep it pirate not ark.. Realize its a mix between two games take the game as it is. To the devs don't put your hands in to many cookie jars until you finish with the first cookie.

    The shaded bar on the left side of the skill shows how many prerequisites are known. If it's half full, you have half the prerequisites. If it's full, you know all the prerequisites and can learn that skill.

    Actual NPC pirates. Their AI would follow you until you exceeded their range OR they sank you OR you dropped your sails (stopped) in which they “steal” 20% of your cargo. In turn if you sink them the ship wreck yields a map to where they have “placed” all their stolen booty. Land owners of the grid, while this ship is in their grid lose “5% of taxes collected”, a notifications of Pirates at the home grid would be appropriate.

    Animal/crew seated points on boats. A small post that snaps to the deck, small, medium, large varieties that you can “Use teather xxx” command and animals will be (seated) on the boat. In my observation things that use your seated code are never wonky like things just sitting on deck.

    You made an awesome game that you want to play, that's why I spent so much of my time and compiled this beta tester report, in the hope that the game will continue to develop and become better! Here are a few of my wishes / suggestions: 1. Real pirates do not sink ships, they seize them and rob! Add a boarding mode for sea battles. The mode is activated when a boarding hook loaded into the swivel weapon engages the enemy ship in a close naval battle. I described the entire mode in detail in the “Boarding” section. 2. To ban bots on swiveling guns on ships. Give players the opportunity to land on enemy ships. 3. Balance melee weapons. Blackjack is much more effective than saber and lance. Purple stunning damage is more effective for players than slow saber strikes and spikes. Stunning at 1 minute is tantamount to killing and even more dangerous. Swords and pikes are useless. Increase the damage and attack speed of the saber and spikes, otherwise they will not be used, because the baton worth 20 wood is more effective. 4. Ship guns and gunports no one uses, because big guns are more effective. Enter the limit on the number of large cannons on the ship, so that players use ship cannons and gunports. 5. Players cover the ships with roofs to protect the cores from the cores; they turn out to be ugly monsters, not ships. Limit the ability to close the slats roofs, build only up and inside the ship. 6. There is very little variety of ships, there were a lot more sailing ships in history, please add new ships. And add more varied fittings, not only the bow of the ship, but also the new appearance of the sails, different steering wheels, beautiful railings, patterns, statues, lanterns, balconies, so that players can create unique ships that do not look alike. Reduce the weight of wooden structures on the ship, so that players make not minimalistic ships due to problems with overload, but can create their own unique ships with cabins, rooms, balconies, etc. 7. Turn off automatic bots shots on ships, let bots shoot at the player’s command just to make the fights more alive and unpredictable. Bots auto shots in anchor mode only. 8. Fix non-killing bots in the tow. This is a problem, the immortals should not be. Imbalance in favor of the defenders. 9. Reduce the resistance to damage from the armor, or increase the damage of the firearm on the armor, killing a player with 6-10 shots from a long-reloading weapon is not normal. The same thing, increase the damage on animals and bots, killing them from 10-20 shots is awful and implausible. 10. Allow bots to use firearms (carbine, musket, pistol) to liven up battles and use NPS in combat as a combat unit, and not only as an application for the functioning of a tow or pivot weapon. You can give them slow aiming so that they do not hit the running targets and long reloading so that the bots are not a strong problem for the players. But when a bot is not a useless servant for stationary guns, but a combat unit from which a detachment can be created and used when attacking an enemy it will be fabulous fights. 11. Add a debuff after death, for example - 30% to everything within 10 minutes. That people were afraid to die, engaged in food and the balance of vitamins. Now if there is a bed near, then no one is watching the food and vitamins, because to die and be reborn next to it is nothing. People deliberately kill themselves to restore the balance of vitamins or fill the stomach. Boarding mode a) You can load boarding hooks into the swiveling weapon on ships. b) When approaching ships at close range, you can shoot hooks and cling to the enemy ship. With a successful hit, the boarding mode begins, at which the ships approach, align and stop. c) Each hook hooked to the enemy ship has a margin of safety and can be destroyed with a melee weapon. If all hooks are destroyed, the boarding mode is terminated. d) Under the boarding mode, you cannot open the sails, you cannot shoot from guns and swivel weapons, you cannot flood your ship and demolish the planks, the resource box and the box for projectiles are blocked for use. e) To capture an enemy ship, you need to set a flag on it in boarding mode and protect it for 15 minutes. The defending team can reset the boarding and seizure of the ship by destroying all the hooks holding their ship or running to the enemy flag on their ship and pressing E to destroy the flag holding the command for 30 seconds. Any damage to the player resets the process of destroying the flag and must be re-clamped for 30 seconds. f) If the attacking team manages to defend their flag on the enemy ship for 15 minutes and save at least 1 hook, then the enemy ship goes along with its resource box and shells as a reward.

    I'm a PVE Player and I really miss fog of war. That's the point about EXPLORATION, you don't know the world you MUST explore to found new islands and places. It doesn't make sense to allow visible all the map.

    Don't start spouting nonsense for matter of fact... "Small teams and solo players can't defeat the kraken" How do you know this? Have you tried in a small group or solo to do this... or are oyu just assuming... you do know as a glorified solo player you still have the option to GROUP with people to achieve things temporarily right? Or are you just that dumb? Stop thinking of easy ways to achieve something you want and start thinking of constructive/engaging ways to achieve those things... my god. Every one of your posts... is GIVE ME GIVE ME, IM SOLO IM SOLO I NEED HELP WAAH WHY I AM SOLO BLAH BLAH BLAH.

    I think the submarine SHOULD stay locked behind the Kraken. It's end game content ... the major point of it is so that someone can go explore the trenches and collect the Power Stones from them and summon the next level of World Boss (dunno if it's just a harder version of the Kraken). MMO's have always locked better loot and resources behind end game content since they started coming out. Getting the submarine is WAY easier then it ever was to get Sulfuras <Hand Of Ragnaros> or Thunderfury <Blessed Blade Of The Windseeker> back in Classic WoW. Those required 40-man raids and several weekly runs to gather enough materials, and that was assuming that your raid was even lucky enough to have the item that started the quest-line even drop.

    While it's awesome you can get an alpha out of this, what's not awesome is I can't and wouldn't spend a 30-hour marathon playing this game to make that happen, even if it was 100% guaranteed to get me an alpha. Which it isn't. And considering how glitchy this game is and how easy it is to lose your tames, to spend all that time only to have it disappear because "reasons" is so not worth it on any level. So OP, I sympathize, but the devs aren't listening to the players anymore if they ever were. They especially aren't listening to tamers. It's great if some of you can enjoy a system like this, but I'd almost rather use a melon baller on my own eyeballs than even give it a shot.

    From reading other posts I've got bad news for you. Penguins don't seem to affect tames. That being said if you want to increase the insulation your gonna need some other things(and quite frankly I don't think it's worth it). Campfires are extremely inefficient for providing insulation. Replace campfires with Grills or with Torches on wall hooks or use both. They help increase the insulation a lot more. That being said, I still have no clue if any of that affects tames the same as it does players right now because spending hours and hours monitoring the temperature during heatwave/cold waves is just not something I'm willing to do without having some way of maintaining things a bit better.

    Thanks for your reply. I've already done all that. I'm using the latest grid editor. It's not that I'm seeing black map images - the maps don't go into my inventory at all
