    Other then the needless obscene title, valid points. I threw in the towel day one of the launch but hoping they figure out how to fix it. Loved the game, but the last PvE change was just too much. decided to re-tile my bathroom this weekend instead of playing. good news, wife is happy.

    Atlas sein Ende in PVE Ich Spiele es nicht mehr ich muss echt sagen das Team von Atlas hast es in Arsch gemacht so wie es jetzt ist. Wenn ich sehe das Große Gruppen 2 bis nach oben offen von kleine inseln haben nur das die solo oder die zu zweit spielen nix bekommen. Gute überlegung Team von Atlas ihr hat es drauf ein Spiel kaputt zumachen. ________________________________________________________________________________________ Atlas its ending in PVE I do not play it anymore I have to say the team of Atlas did it in ass like it is now. If I see the large groups 2 up to the top of small islands have only the solo or the couple play nothing get. Good Consideration Team of Atlas you have a mind to break a game.

    im in a mega company now its all split up into groups now I cant play with my friends make it so we can only own one or two islands with the new claim system.this game is not even fun anymore.only 50 members really. and why did they change it? just letting out some of my frustrations. before the patch this game used to be fun.

    As a solo player, it’s totally not worth the cost of trying to own even the smallest of islands. Almost all of my game time would be involved in keeping it. Even something as small as The Shinning Isles in K7 (which would barely support 1 player) costs 244 gold per day. I have been burned by other players in the past and don’t personally know anyone who owns an island ATM. I don’t see any reason to trust another company or benefit to setting up on someone else island. True, after 24 hours they cannot delete my stuff, but can still, at anytime prevent me building more. So I’m setting up in Lawless. There isn’t any reason not to.

    Of course not. We built in lawless again. But even if we had wanted to claim an island, there aren't any left now. And in lawless the pillar/four station spam is horrible. One company where we are has about 500 foundations spammed all along the coast on one side of the island. Its mental! This is why we said that simply limiting claim flags to so many per company based on its member count would fix a lot, because it would have. Or, at this point, give each company 2 claim blocks for every 10 people they have in it with a hard cap at 10 claim blocks. If you cant build outside your claim block area then you cant foundation/pillar spam, right? But no. We have 'this' instead.

    As it says, I see an island of elephants 15-20 and it is just way too crowded with wild life.

    With the amount of upkeeps we have to pay a reintroduction of double weekends/days for gold or all resources would be nice. Upvote this post if you have same opinion.

    After 800+ hours in your game, we can say that i love your game. I play solo or with few people only on PVE server, i don't know and i don't want to know what's happening on PVP server. I work and can't hold a claim/island, no problem => i can play on lawless area, like before. But now, your fucking foundation spamer can hold a lot of area during 10 days????!!!!! it's a joke? My life in your game : Before patch : I could claim a nice (not lost in the snow) little area, after being very patient. But during that time, i played in lawless and my main problem was the foundation spamer (4 days to *maybe* do something against that). After patch : I launch the game everyday after work, to see if the update is installed. When i started the game the same evening after update, all the islands < 50 points were taken, no problem, i go back to lawless. But now in lawless the fucking foundation spamer have 10 days to refresh their fucking pillar????!!!! It's a fucking joke?! You replace a system "not very good" by an even more crappy system? how it's possible?

    Well arguably the shit show of the launch week was due in large part to their vastly underestimating how much interest there would be, so you can’t blame them much for erring this time around on the side large numbers. I agree things should be tweaked downward.

    This is really a bit harsh. Especially when it comes to fibers. each node yields max 20 units while any other node of whatever resource yields up to 100+ . some fishes don't even yield any raw fish at all. Please increase fiber rates or maybe add fiber as a secondary resource to berry bushes and palms. the palm leaves are really fibers, too.

    Yep, I remember those days. I feel that all the building radius changes they changed to res blocking has been defaulted and they did not realize that.. when they set it back to 'no setting any island to homeserver' sadly.. I hope this gets resolved asap, I wanted to farm up to a brig this weekend. However looks like it that wont be happening. I am really tempted to destroy whole base and see if it helps.

    I think this is due to settlements no longer acting as home servers / lawless which don't have a radius. But the radius is too big. @Dollie @Jatheish It's also been discussed here too as it's not considered a bug necessarily, but it needs to change. I've also tweeted about it here: And also raised it on Reddit: I hope this is enough to get the attention of our beloved Devs!

    Ich gebe dir 100% recht die Lawless Inseln sind so voll wie nie das team Spielt ja auch kein PVE sonst hätten die, den Mist auch nicht so umgesetzt wie es jetzt ist. Wenn ich an das altes Anspruch System denke hat hat man noch was claimen können.( nach wochen ) das hätte man nur verbessern müssen die fahnen begrenzen ( und für jede Fahne Gold bezahlen sage mal 5 bis 10 Gold und maximal 20 Fahnen ) aber so wie es jetzt ist haben die solo oder die zu zweit spielen kein grund mehr zu spielen. Ich werde mich echt zurück ziehen aus Atlas bist das Team erkannt hat das es so nicht läuft das die nur an große Gruppen denken und nicht an uns. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I'll give you 100% right the Lawless Islands are so full like never the team plays so synonymous no PVE otherwise would have, the crap not so implemented as it is now. If I think of the old claim system, you can still claim something. (After weeks) that would only have to improve the flags limit (and pay for each flag gold say 5 to 10 gold and a maximum of 20 flags) but as it is now have the solo or two players play no reason to play. I'll really pull myself back from Atlas the team has realized that it does not work that only think of big groups and not us.

    Yeah, exactly. Especially if they want to encourage 'settlements' if that's the radius of res de-spawn.. no one will want any settlers, cause it will cause the whole island become a barren wasteland.. if we could get the resource respawn semi-like lawless.. maybe 10-20% bigger, it'd be great. That way it'd be easier to avoid building over any resources and enforce others to not do so. However, I just had a few trees respawn RIGHT besides my house, but other resources are not respawning that used to be in that spot (particularly metal and rocky nodes) Edit: ok that's a bit weird, now suddenly again the two trees are not respawning (I did not build more)

    BP's require you to have the skill to make item first. Each has 2x, 3x ect before the material requirement, as Debruns said 2x metal for example needs Tin + Copper or any two different metals, same for the other mats. Generic material don't count, the type you get from demolishing structures. Also BP needs to be in the correct crafting station. Most regions only have 1 type of each material. I check the wiki to find other types close by. (New map has not changed this to my knowledge, mats are still available from the same places.)

    Rates are fine for me too. 160k wood with an elephant in 3 hours is really enough.

    I have been building a harbor fort with 9 towers, connecting walls, and a large central tower in lawless. As it stands right now I have found nothing I cant do in lawless. In fact its even better than before as now I have 10 days to log in rather then 4 before anyone can blow up my stuff. The only caution I would give is that its called lawless for a reason. You cant stop someone from building all around you and boxing you in. Cant stop people from dropping ugly buildings all over making the place look like Detroit or San Francisco. Not had this problem "yet" but its still early days. On a claimed island if you have a good overlord they can clean up that sort of mess.

    The developers are being extremely careless in their documentation of basic game mechanics. For example the exact rules for PVP Colonies flag claiming and contesting had to be basically learned through trial and error with everyone asking one another what exactly is going on. Now according to the changelog there has been minor patches with changes being described but the original rules were never documented in the first place! On official launch of 'Atlas 1.5' we were unable to capture an island due to sleeping players (allies) that were within the flag capture radius at a nearby base. Another thing we noticed is that a sleeping character will not count as a contester, but it did seem to count as a defender. Now we were mostly just experimenting and did not really care for the territory claim. With the changes implemented from the recent minor patches, it appeared our allies captured the island while we were sleeping, with their claim flag radius being entirely within our building. So I have no idea what exactly are the rules and if they have been changed. No such change was ever documented and so I have no idea how this works now. I have to basically search through these forums and other websites of peoples anecdotes and experiences to figure out how certain things work. In fact I even read that the flag timer can also count upwards instead of only counting down. Is it really so much to ask to just write a few bullet points of rules for this basic mechanic of the game?

    The peek Friday Night was higher than launch, and Tonight is about the same as Friday. Its not falling, but not growing much either. Only Grapeshot knows the number of new purchases. Given the populations in Freeports, new players are coming in.

    Thx for this new Claimsystem where you set up a few landlords as claimowners which have all force and might to bully others around if they dont obey without any chance to get something you really own. Your former system wasnt that bad it worked good when you had the protectection time down on 4 days (so it was possible to claim a abandoned claim, short after you put it up to 20 days which preventend any claiming). But i dont want to be bullied around from anyone and as it is already impossible to get something your own as an single player ill Quit and im sure many others would too. Thx again for this completely unfair and uncompetitional system wich only enables grief in a big scale.

    Sorry. I forgot to say that I'm talking about the PvP Colonies server. If I go to the island of my allies, I will get less resources and treasure gold because of the taxes. Is not this true? I am proposing that you can not charge taxes to your allies. they would get the same amount of resources as in a lawless or if the island were theirs.

    but when you get on s ship with a captain, you do not sign over all your property and other ships to them, Your luggage is still your luggage. They actually pay you when you leave the ships crew to get started on you own. The Communal ownership structure is one of my biggest dislikes of Atlas (and Ark)

    That´s exactly what happened. I got 1.4k hours in ATLAS but this totally stupid feature made me stop playing for a while. I mean they worked weeks on this new system and it´s crap. Haven´t anyone tested this? It´s PVE which means players shouldn´t be able to destroy active players bases. I´m flubbergasted, so are the ppl i played with. It was a huge island and the new owner demolished several bases and took all the stuff. Foundations and storage lockers everywhere with griefed stuff. Foundation and pillar spamming everywhere, lawless regions jam packed. Just wow!

    Bottom line the new claim system is pure $HYT. There is absolutely no way for smaller companies (5 or less) to own land. Even if we were lucky enough to get an isle, 244 gold per day for us would mean doing nothing but looking for gold so having an isle at that point is useless. The game is ruined and doomed to fail.

    Well stated. You may be the great landlord, but the fact remains that you can still at anytime destroy what others have built just because. But the fact is that people like myself and the ones that I game with all the time just want to have a decent gaming experience and not have to worry that when we log in everything that we have built is gone, destroyed or whatever. Not having a NA PVE server is a real setback to us. I am afraid that the devs have succeeded in driving us away with this decision that there is no NA PVE server. and to compound the fact that when they decided to wipe they announced it a fricken month in advance. Yike!!!! when will they learn.

    I understand the OP completely, have the same thoughts and feelings myself. I really love the game but as solo and sometimes a very small group, I feel it isn't working out. They should have just made a cap on claims instead of this. Most solo/small groups would have been happy with a few claims or in some cases even just one slice of land to own and have safe from interference. I am contemplating whether to settle on lawless, join some Company, or maybe just quit the game. Used to love this game but feeling resignation with this new system. All I wanted was a small claim but the initial land rush was too hard for me as a solo. (My friends mostly quit at wipe announcement). It's quite sad cause I think this system drives away many solo players and small groups.

    So, for the last 4 months people have been complaining hard about the company member limit being too high, now they have what they want so now we’re gonna have the other half on this server to complain about it being too low? I’m getting a headache.

    I usually play PvE, with Ark, there was no point unless you had a private server or a friend who had one, as the officials were full and lag was terrible. Been playing PvE on EU (even though Im in the US) to avoid quibbling over resources (most of the times I was on, others were not) but even then, most of the land was claimed so I started and ended living on lawless islands. Currently giving Colonies a chance, not sure PvP will be my thing, but at least it shouldnt be full of mega tribes zerging the map every night. Still going lawless for now, not sure my little group is ready to own an island and stay up with the upkeep, and not really interested in paying a 50% tax to someone else unless it affords some bit of security. Likely that wont settle in until everyone has had their fill of being dictators and we end up with Settlement owners who want people to help them keep a claim vs just being a resource farm. I know there are good people out there on this game, watch the forums for folks interested in welcoming settlers, or go PvE EU, or wait until they launch PvE in NA (and just use this time to get used to the game mechanics and dont be concerned of what you will leave behind when you move).     Some copy-pasting here: a) your new claiming system sucks, all we need was the existing claiming system with a limitation to the flags. b) there are again far too few small islands for solo players and small groups with 2-5 players. Yeah, they COULD group up, but you said the game will be more easy for solo and casual players. So I don't get that point. Big companies simply took the small islands because they can't afford big ones at the beginning. b) your new "quests" are again only for bigger companies c) if I'm crying long and loud enough and stomp my feet because I can't have my own island right now, will you wipe again? Would only be fair, ya know

    so wait can one of the devs can clarify something for me? Have you gone overboard on the restrictions on PVE claim Flags? Are you telling me that because I am a two-man company that I just stayed up all night trying to claim land and doing everything I needed to to claim land but I can't because I'm a two-man company and that's not enough people. You should be able to claim at least one territory that's ridiculous I have dealt with glitched-out snakes to the point that the game hasn't even been fun anymore and I can't claim land like I was promised that I would be able to do in PVE. I have friends that I was going to have buy The Game and join me but I'm about ready to tell him don't bother. I completely understand this is Early Access and there's a lot of things to be fixed on this game but the balancing issue with the monsters is ridiculous when you can't walk for the dang cobras killing you no matter what level you are a level 1 Cobra can kill you with out a fight it really makes the game no fun cuz it's just a slaughterfest for the monsters and you're constantly doing body runs I had three Alpha cobras on me earlier so I'm sure you can understand where I'm upset and then the fact that I find out because you've gone overboard with the restrictions on PVE I can't claim land a company should be able to claim at least one territory I don't want to deal with PVP because I'm a Casual Gamer I mostly play on the weekends because I'm a single mom and it played when my child is at his dad's I can't play PVP I don't have the time to invest in that that's why I was happy when you put the claiming system back in PVE this is a big letdown

    Yes! Finally a group of us did working together and sharing information. Basically you need to make sure your leveling chart for the creatures goes up to MaxWildLevel * 1.5 + 30 If the table doesn't go up high enough creatures stop being able to gain xp.
