This thread was created two hours after the submission of a ticket related to a failed Company merge on a PVE network. Our Customer Service crew rarely respond to a ticket in such a short amount of time. Exceptions to this more pertain to incidences where myself or Jat step in ourselves when the issue reported is time-sensitive and has potential wide-spread consequences in regards to the overall playerbase. Along with being Community Managers, we are on the Live Services team and identifying and working to repro and resolve game breaking bugs in a broader sense are aspects of our roles along with investigating player reports and Enforcement in the more complex and far reaching cases. Whilst our resources lie on the side of technical solutions in order to address the underlying issues and, ideally, resolve those we do view Customer Service as an intrinsic aspect of the overall player experience. We've recently expanded our Customer Service resources and we will look at that again as we progress in our development cycle. I think it is worth noting that I advised this player that I would assist them in getting their friend's items and creatures transferred across to the new Company myself if it hadn't been resolved by our GM team by tomorrow.

@Jatheish As a designer I would scrap how animals are at this point. Currently this game is turning into an Ark expansion. I would decide to stop living in Ark's shadow. Currently I've done all PvE material so my day consists of riding around on a level 70 bear with elephants behind me harvesting X resource with hopes of actually needing blue print weapons to complete the next PvE tier. Currently riding is basically a requirement for things to do effectively either everything else needs to be brought up or beastmastery needs to be brought down. I would change the tree to crew. It would allow you to get animals but the animals would have something they bring to the table and not be rideable. The shoulder mount thing would be fine but cruising around on (current meta tame) is basically Ark. So I now have a blank slate and need to make it so I can get tames. I would want it to be a low chance from mate boosted animals when you harvest their bodies or a high chance from an alpha. Could also put a vendor in the game that sells the babies. So now my players have a baby X. This whole temperature thing currently is silly and the way to fix it going to require a lot of resources from my company (grapeshot) so the cost would be too great to keep this. The concept is cool but the creation and implementation creates a poor user interaction with it so I would scrap it. The concept of feeding animals something special is a good one so I could fill up a bear with honey and it would mature faster or just use berries cause they are easy but longer time until they are grown. So now I have a way for players to get tames so I now need to make them useful. This would be the bottom tiers of the crew tree. Different animals would have a function that fall into combat or utility. For this I would think of how I envision an amazing creature of the type. Bear- Combat- Taunt enemies around the player acting as a tank. Chicken- Utility- When on wander produces eggs Cow- Utility- Produces milk (more on wander) Bull- Utility- when on wander fertilizes nearby crops Crow- Shoulder- When you die acts as a bed. Razortooth- Combat- nerfs alphas. Shieldhorn- Combat- Produces a shield that deflects projectiles. (Currently elementals have little counter play) Elephant- Utility- When on wander collects wood. Giant Pig- Utility- When on wander finds buried items. Giraffe- Utility- When on wander gathers thatch. Horse- Utility- Rideable, pulls carriage and cargo which helps tranports large amounts of people or heavy amounts of resources great distances (we need something that makes unloading a galley not horrible) Lion- Combat- grabs smaller creatures. Monkey- Shoulder- barehanded becomes climbing picks at a much higher stam use rate. Ostrich- Utility- Harvests seeds when on wander. Parrot- Shoulder- Makes musical instruments easier to play and buffs the buff radius. Penguin- shoulder- fortitude buff. Rabbit- Shoulder- When on shoulder provides a movement speed. Rhino- Utility- When on wander gathers stone. Seagull- Shoulder- When on shoulder reduces/removes fog debuff Sheep- Utility- When on wander gathers fiber Tiger- Combat- reduces movement speed of enemies. Vulture- Utility- When on shoulder decreases vitamin depletion. Wolf- Combat- has a howl that increases damage. Turtle- Make tameable- Shoulder- Increase swimspeed, decreases oxygen use, and reduces deep diving debuff. Rattlesnake- Utility- When on wander produces venom, venom is used for anti-venom which reduces torpidity. So now that I have all these super cool animals I need to transport them and the current bug is they fall off (scavenging tames in the ocean is super lucrative I know a guy that got a Razortooth) I would make it so boats have a animal attachment that is basically a cage and when you send the animal to it the animal gets turned into more of an item that is placed inside the cage instead of being on the boat (no more lost at sea tames yay). We now need somewhere to put all these wandering tames. I would make it so tames on wander don't leave your territory. I would also make it so you can apply a filter on the map to see where certain tames are. Now for the meaty part of the new tree. I would make it so NPC's you get from SotD have a type of suffix like Bob. Bob would be a builder. You would need points in crew to hire Bob and then you can put him on a smithy. If you have skills in construction you would be able to make things like stone at a reduced cost. The points in crew would only be to get Bob, the points in construction would make it so you can get the discounted building from Bob. This would make Bob your righthand man when it comes to construction of things. You would still need the recipe to make it though. So getting NPC's and keeping them alive would have benefits beyond "I need guys on my sails" which you would want to keep around because sailor NPC's would make your sails better. This would lead into reworks of the other skill trees, I would make farming capable of making the large crop plots grow fiber, thatch, and wood that the NPC's can harvest at a drastically reduced rate. The rate they harvest can be modified by giving them higher end tools. Artillery tree would also get access to alchemists that can be put on a mortar and pestle that will make it so you can stack unlimited resources inside it and queue up organic paste for more than 220 at a time... it would also make it faster to give the QoL that is missing from the chemistry station. I could keep talking about how I would change it but the TL:DR is make animals more companion rather than a requirement but still have meaning. Make NPC's more than a parasite when you arn't sailing. As a designer I would change a lot of things but for creatures this is what I would do. ~Lotus

What makes the fountain of youth so disgusting isn't so much that you have to do a ridiculous naked run through a bunch of aimbot op trash.. Although It is pretty horrific.. It is knowing you have to do that run EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. FOREVER. As long as you play this game, you will HAVE to go and do that trash.. Why? Because NO ONE is going to tolerate that debuff… It weighs on your mind as you play the game, looking at your age, seeing this impending BS coming up that you know you just don't want to have to deal with. Take this pointless trash out of the game already! It adds NOTHING. Your game took a nosedive in numbers on the release of the FOY.. You MUST remove the age mechanic or make the fountain easily accessible.. People don't want to have to deal with this; it isn't fun. And no, this isn't about "difficulty" or "carebear".. I like difficulty if the stakes are right, and it isn't faux difficulty.. Difficulty that punishes you for no mistake of your own. Massive numbers of Immortal flame golems aimbotting you with homing missiles is just a joke. I challenge anyone to tell me how the age mechanic adds to the game more than it takes away; tell me how it makes the game good.. You'll find there isn't anything it adds, nothing that improves the game in any meaningful way. It adds nothing to the core of the game; it just makes me want to quit even thinking about it.. Oh, and you're not fooling anyone trying to mask your game being discounted in price as some celebration of year of the pig. You and I know it was just to temporarily get the numbers up. Your game is dying, and a big part of it is because of FOY and the age mechanic being pointless hassle. Scrap it and save your game. We all know you only kept the FOY in the game because you know that if the FOY were made easy to access, the whole age mechanic becomes pointless. So you've left this trash in the state it is in, because you're so desperate to crowbar this mechanic, to make it mean something.. And in turn, you ruin your game in the process because you can't look at the bigger picture.

I think this thread is getting a little out of hand. You're welcome to believe what you'd like about our team. Here's the deal with how we'd like to handle customer service for the time being: When someone opens a ticket, that ticket is automatically closed with an auto response. Our GM team will then look into it to see if it's one we are currently supporting if so they'll begin investigating and may open the ticket to ask for further information. This more or less was always the situation, we'd close tickets we weren't supporting and just deal with key issues. We've just automated that part of the process. I understand that this isn't ideal. In an ideal situation, we'd be able to support every single ticket that comes in and deal with it from either a technical or customer service point of view. However, at this time in our development phase, we're going to be using this system to identify game issues and trends so that we can tackle them from a technical/development point of view. The team have determined that this is the most efficient use of our resources and will ensure that we're able to resolve problems quickly and for a larger amount of players. It will also ensure that we can avoid those problems existing in the future, the alternative would be tackling them more slowly and risking more players having to deal with game breaking issues. Yes, having a large and super responsive GM team would certainly be helpful, and I would love it but as is recruiting programmers and engineers to work on core problems which will have much more of an impact on the entire player base. The goal is to solve problems so that they do not exist overall. However, this doesn't mean we won't be doing any GM/ticketing work. We still plan to take action against rule breakers, hackers/cheaters, people who are harassing each other, resolving company problems, etc using the report system and the tools we have available to us. We've been pretty transparent about this from the beginning, it was mentioned in the initial Captain's Log, it was included in an announcement on our Official Discord, and our automated response when opening a ticket also makes clear what the primary function behind it is for. It's not a matter of not valuing your time, it's a matter of recognizing how we can best utilize the resources we have available to us and what practically is the best way for our team to fix problems with the game and that players are experiencing on a day to day basis. Over time, the process will improve. We'll have a larger team, who will be equipped with better tools and information to tackle problems via tickets and we'll have dealt with a lot of the current issues which are plaguing the game, resulting in tickets being created. We believe that this plan of action will inevitably lead to a better game, a better experience for players, and in the long term a better customer support service. I understand that you may feel frustrated with this in the meantime, and I am sympathetic to you, however, this is how are going to proceed going forward. Everything is a process, and as we make strides in our development resolving issues, that will clear up the response rate. Additionally, as the game grows and the project gets further into its development cycle, the team will grow too. That will lead to having more active GMs, readily available to handle tickets. Going to shut down this topic, in future please be more civil with one another when discussing topics. Thanks!

Most important thing is to split harvesting materials from food collection. At the moment when I harvesting with bear for fibre I alway get tons and tons berries and so on. I don’t know why fruits and vegetables a called Resourses. Could make another option like disable food harvesting. Thanks

seagul- reveal more fog of war in open seas and maybe show trails of the ships ? vulture- show health of every living thing around you? bull- carry more weight -giraffe gather more thatch -bear should be able to gather honey and please add ignore item list to the animal inventory like in the bank and more agressive options to animals like : attack only players and tamed creatures. i want animals protect my base not to chase a seagul to the open seas

Once upon a time, @Jatheish responded to one of my threads and said he was considering what he called "a wall of shame" that would basically put on public display anyone who was banned from the game for cheating/using exploits. It would seem that he's been a bit busy or he's still undecided as to whether this is a good idea or not. Also, one of the things I've been curious about is some really far-out claims that Grapeshot is not banning any Chinese. Since I don't have the same tough decisions to make that Jat does, and curiosity killed the cat, I decided to do it myself and see of any if those claims were true. I got bored today and decided to write a quick WordPress plugin and slap it on one of my test sites. Basically, it grabs the steam ID's from the Atlas banlist here: http://atlasdedicated.com/pc/banlist.txt It then polls the Steam API and grabs various bits of info about that steam ID including game bans and stuffs it into a MySQL database. Some really interesting info popped up. Pay particular attention to the date the account was created. If it says 1970 then Steam didn't return a creation date. Many accounts are pretty new. The other thing to take a look at is 'last logoff.' I'm not positive of what this date/time represents but I'm going to guess it's the last time the Steam client was shut down. No info on when the last time it was started is available. And surprise... many of the names are Chinese. And I think I saw some Japanese and Korean names. A lot of the names... as you'd expect are simply 123. http://www.twistedvoid.com/the-atlas-public-stockade/ Take note, I ran this earlier today so that data is cached until the next time I run it. For now, I have no real plans to do anything with this unless you guys would like to have this in a more permanent home.

Can you PLEASE update gold weight. The flavor text says 2 grams per coin, in game each coin weighs 400 grams, or 200 times the flavor text!

It's stupid the way it is now. I agree it does nothing to game play. The buff is nice along with the satisfaction you get by getting it. I'm sure the DEV's envisioned one sailing there, completing the task and sailing away. What has happened is players re spawn at Freeport, ramshackle to the island, abandon the boat and spawn back to their base. The end result This only shows one angle, there are ships lined up along the coast, packed tighter than this making it impossible to sail in. You end up swimming 5 minutes to even get to shore. Something needs to change. Brighter minds than mind can think of a solution. Running naked, dodging crocks, jumping over cobra's and hoping someone in front will clear the way makes for a funny video, but surely there is a better way. I vote to end the aging thing all together.

Bear - In a good place. Great gatherer. Also tanky enough to be multipurpose. With Elephants, you can base all gathering tames on this tanky model. Chicken - In a good place. Supplies lots of eggs. Cow - It would be nice if we could milk a small amount from wild cows, otherwise cows are a prime candidate for a cargo saddle that actually works for cargo. Bull - Bulls could fill the missing niche of an accessible thatch farming tame, as well as another candidate for carrying weight with a cargo saddle that works for cargo. Crow - I like how crows work, my complaints are with int itself and how you need to dedicate a respec in order to craft. Razortooth - These should be the highest tier hostile tame for doing pve/golden age Shieldhorn - These should remain the best thatch gatherer if you introduce more viable gatherers of thatch Elephant - In a good place. Platform Saddle? Giant Pig - Needs something to do other than pooping, farming for valuables if left on wander or giving them the functionality of shovels might work. Giraffe - Potential thatch farmer. Platform Saddle? Horse - Would make it a passive tame, and make characters with Sneak ranks not spook horses. Lion - Tamed Wolves and Lions and Tigers are too weak in general, should be strong enough to survive encounters in golden age islands in a small group. Monkey - Let them steal for us like in ARK Ostrich - Give them a proper glide that costs stamina Parrot - Insulation is nice, but there should be something more on these guys. Shoulder pets don't all have to be amazing, but parrots should be in a pirate game. Penguin - In a good place. Rabbit - Like other tiny pets, rabbits need something to give them value other than their cuteness factor. Perhaps a reason to let them breed like rabbits? If you give them a unique Hide then there is a great reason to farm their pelts. Rhino - Make them hit rocks before they hit trees/anything else. Otherwise in a good place. Seagull - Fix their crazy levels, otherwise they should be good as is as the designated diving pets. Maybe add the fishing functions from Ark? Sheep - Make their scissor harvest into fiber, not hide. Tiger - Tamed Wolves and Lions and Tigers are too weak in general, should be strong enough to survive encounters in golden age islands in a small group. Vulture - Tone down the AoE hostility and give them the ability to be sent to harvest corpses and return with the meat. Maybe this (or other underwhelming shoulder pets) could warn of things like storms/weather like aberration, or nearby enemies like parasaurs in Ark. Wolf - Tamed Wolves and Lions and Tigers are too weak in general, should be strong enough to survive encounters in golden age islands in a small group. Tamed Wolves especially need buffs to keep up. Note that all of this comes from a PVE point of view with 723 hours played in Atlas and 3856 in ARK. Thanks for listening. The pve side of the game could be balanced around tames more, but golden age ruins are currently a crap shoot even with them. Nerf the islands, buff the tames. Cargo saddles are necessary to see tames reach the place they should be at. Before you nerf quality of life by making us immobile when over weight limit, make horse/cow and cargo saddle trips more efficient than dropping the entire box on the ground then slooooowly walking it back. Just... Buff the quality of life before/while nerfing it, please. English is not my best language, thank you for taking the time to do this

Horses could be passive tame. They are really derpy, getting stuck on terrain or launching themselves. Their acceleration from 0 to 100000 is insane, making them hard to trap and bola. Not counting the fact they run into open ocean and swim in circles for hours. An ability to see your animals on map/atlas would be great. As it is alpha game build bugs happen, stuff happens, its too easy to lose your animals. This feature can be taken out for full game release, but it would make a nice feature for now. Armored saddles to buff your animal, give it more survival ability? Breeding is so so so tedious. Do you really want us to spend hours upon hours handfeeding babies surrounded by 7 grills or penguins to make sure the temp is good? High level tames should be hard to get, but maaaan I am not looking forward to breeding at all. Elephants could have more stamina. There should be an animal that gathers thatch faster than a player with a pickaxe.

Today we got attacked in EU PvP by chemB. They created a new company, and new accounts to cheat and destroy. We were 25 persons, they were 3-4 persons, with flying bears, aimhack, teleport and so on, they destroy ships, towers, bases with only 3 persons. These are their names: Wildy Wild King bob Skal man I hope devs do anything if you want to success, because this is ruining the game. They told us they were coming to wipe us, they said they can destroy our walls with 1 canon ball of 10k. Rip atlas.

Just found yet another game breaking bug. I was climbing my own stone tower to paint it after all my hard work making it, I just randomly died for no reason while climbing picking up. My body is NOWHERE to be found, not even a green light left behind. I just lost my maxed out Legendary Carbine and Fur Armor..... I just wasted a week of gathering resources to make a single fucking leg carbine and leg fur armor set to lose it due to game breaking bugs, that you guys refuse to address, or refund items. Because you refuse to properly fund a sizeable enough team to properly address customer service and bug patches in a timely manner. If BP's didn't revolve around complete RNG and a grindy unfun material drain... It would be a different story... If someone had killed me in PvP and took it, then fine, so be it... But a fucking bug with climbing picks on my own buildings.... I'm sorry no! @Jatheish Not that ANYONE on the dev team actually cares, which was made clear on my post yesterday. Why bother putting in a ticket, when it takes 3+ weeks to get an answer. Then wonder why player numbers went from 60,000+ to less than 13,000 now.

I think the fog adds a nice element but occurs so frequently as to be unrealistic andannoying rather than a change of pace. I know of few if any places on earth that experience fog every day, yet this seems to be the case for most of Atlas so far as I can tell. It might be a good idea to dial back fog generally, perhaps letting it be a bit more frequent in certain areas, but still less frequent than the set your watch by it regularity seen now. I expect this is the normal sort of fine tuning seen as we progress through EA. Turning down the frequency of cyclones during rain but upping the damage was a good move in the right direction, but further fine tuning could be used. Since cyclones rarely appear in groups like women going to the restroom in public, perhaps make them more often be like guys, solo with the occasional rush during halftime. Heat waves I will decline to comment on much since I live in the tundra and heat waves there mean t shirt weather.

1: Allow, like the elevator, the ability for you to put a crewman that will empty animal's resource contents into the ship resource box. Would be very helpful for people with low weight (e.g. crafters). 2: Allow crafting tables to pull from ship resource boxes. I am surprised this is not the case already.

Dear Devs, PUCKLES DON'T WORK ON LIVE SERVERS. I don't know what you tested on your private server. But anyone can run in front of them without getting shot. The tracking is WAY too slow. Please buff puckle aiming speed and trigger speed to instant. Stop making base raiding easier and easier. This is coming from someone who raids bases and walks past their puckles feeling bad they thought they set up defense. MAKE PUCKLES WORK IMMEDIATELY

@Tiberius_theron You need to relax mate - we're a couple months in and this is an early-access game. Things are going to stuff up, bug out, and you will lose everything. If you are not interested or have the tenacity for that, come back later when the game is more firmly developed. You actually already got responses from Jat and Dollie; these two are Community Managers and they are actually going out of their way to give you a response on tickets when, essentially, it's not their job. Even Dollie responded in this thread You stuffed up a merge and want a fix in 2 hours? Pull the other one buddy. Responses from Customer Support can take days, even weeks, that is just how it is - i'd assume most of the resources of the studio are being focused towards development of the game and fixing bugs / exploits - hence the 'Early Access'. Even when you get a response, there's no guarantee items will be replaced. In ARK i went through many many characters due to deletion bugs. I had a whinge sure (not on the general forums though), but then just re-leveled and rebuilt again because the game is in development and shit is going to go wrong. Harden up princess.

@Jatheish Two primary issues that need resolutions asap, basic QoL changes that would make a huge impact, and some suggestions for tames: 1) Animals falling through the mesh of boats or structures absolutely needs to be fixed ASAP. I recognize you saying above that you are making this a priority, so I'll just reaffirm how crucial this is to the player base. This has to be the #1 priority for animals; we've stopped sending bug reports about this, because it happens so much. Daily. And it was never fixed in Ark. Don't let this one slip. 2) The main thing wrong with the breeding system is how fast the temperature spikes can kill an animal. In Ark, you generally get to a point where you can leave the darn thing alone entirely for large chunks of time, as long as you're careful and watch your timers. In Atlas, even if you've got all the temperature ranges for your biome/grid known, you still have a maximum of maybe a 10 minute window where, if unobserved, the baby can die, because it can transition from a heat wave to a cold front, and no amount of insulation we've found can prevent a swing like that from killing a baby without manual adjustment. This window should be significantly longer, especially further on into maturation. You can still keep the temperature requirements, but the window for failure needs to be much larger, given the extremely long maturation time. Boosting someone else's idea: Give babies a scaling insulation buff when close to their mother. This will benefit smaller tribes who don't have as many people to do babysitting, and still make it more complex for larger tribes to manage that proximity if doing mass breeding. We also need some way to cool down a baby. It doesn't have to be huge (but more than being submerged in water). Necessary QoL changes Add armored saddle blueprints to the game (even just a bit, doesn't have to be the full 25 armor of a bear) Add Medium sized gates, for Tier 2 animals (and smaller tier 3s) Make medium and large sizes cages (like those in the Piracy tree) to hold animals on board ships for better transport. Make the "Transfer <animal> to <x>" option move them into specific, named cages, instead of to ships. Filter gathering would be amazing Add the "Dino Leash" item from ark Animal Specific Seagull - allow for a 'homing pigeon' ability where it can send weightless items like blueprints or treasure maps back to a specified location at your home base (like a special bird cage you craft) Crow - Help you spot nearby undiscovered Discovery Points with a UI element, like the Bulbdog alerting you to high level predators Sheep - Convert the hide-like resource your shear off them to a Fiber. This would help alleviate the lack of fiber in certain areas, since you could just bring along a couple sheep. Also fur just seems more like fiber then hide. Pig - Allow it to act like a super-shovel. Bonus chance to harvest worms, gold, etc from the ground Wolf - Revisit the idea of a "Pack Buff" like in Ark, as a means of boosting the wolves' currently underwhelming power level, without drastically changing the creature itself. Elephant Giraffe - should be able to gather additional thatch from trees (higher up) Bulls should get a buff to farming thatch from plants on the ground (all plants, not like how with Bears it needs to be a special plant) Shieldhorn - Its special passive ability is fantastic, but it needs a base HP boost or armor to really be a viable tank. Razortooh - Needs a stamina buff, and probably HP or armor. Seagull - Gather fish, increase Fog of War reveal distance Rabbits - on the shoulder gives a "Lucky" gold boost buff PS: While the new taming system of getting hit by the animal is somewhat annoying, I really like that it pushes taming into more of a group activity, often needing people to do the primary tame, scout/kill predators, and have someone on backup to take over if you miss the sweet spot a few times and get hurt. I like this design direction; even though I end up doing less solo taming, I have a LOT of fun on our group taming excursions into dangerous areas! Edit: PS, clarity, typo

    1. Ship-Rear Cosmetics/Skins So we have figureheads, steering wheel skins and soon, sail skins. This might be a large suggestion, but the Brig and Galleons have cosmetic "cabin" styling on the backs of them. I propose new skins be made for the Ship itself that adds cosmetic changes to the back of ships. Maybe dragon heads from the back, working up the side? A skull? Hydra head? Cyclops hands? 2. PvE Servers, Allow Ship Claiming After Inactivity Currently, there is no ship claiming on the PvE servers. I feel like ships should be claimable if the player and/or company has not been online or entered the area within maybe 2 weeks? 1 week? Or simply cause the ship to be "Unclaimed" after 1 or 2 weeks of inactivity. 3. Repair All Structures It would be a tremendous Q.O.L. improvement to allow NPC crew to repair all structures including ceilings, cannons, walls, chairs, e.t.c. when the ship is anchored and the NPCs are unseated. Optionally, create a new structure to be placed on a ship in which you assign an npc crewmate to be in charge of repairing all other misc. structures on the ship. 4. Unseat All Crew I don't know about other players, but when I get off my ship, I unseat at least 4 crew members to ensure my ship's essentials are repaired before the next time I set off. This would be another amazing Q.O.L. improvement for the ship to have an implemented option to unseat all crew. 5. Man Your Stations Add an option to NPC crew on ships that assigns them a specific position on-board. Then add an additional option on-board the ship for assigned crew to "Man Stations." 6. Handling Sail; Reverse Allow Handling Sails to provide faster Reverse speeds. As it stands, ships can currently back up no matter what. If the Ship layout includes a Handling Sail, this ship should reverse slightly faster. 7. Captain's Deck Currently, the Galleon is the only ship that comes with a snap-able slot for a receded Deck to be placed higher up at the back of the ship. I propose another optional Deck slot be added to the back end of Brigantines and Schooners, like the Galleons, for cleaner and more aesthetically pleasing ship designs. (The Brigantine is especially difficult to make the ceilings and walls line up with the back end of the ship.) 8. Careening @mKHammerBro Introduce a new mechanic to ground Ships to scrape and clean the underside of the hull. In the past, this process was called Careening, or Heaving Down. Barnacles and other sea life clings to the underside and rots away at the wood. This could also introduce a new way to repair your ship's planks or add a temporary repair and/or speed buff to your ship. 9. Mooring @ikarirain Introduce a new item to be crafted at Smithy's from the Seamanship tree, Bollard. There are instances where a ship is too large to reach an anchor-able point, so it's been proposed to allow ships the ability to be moored in by ropes to Bollards, which can be placed on piers or shipyards, to safely "anchor" the ship in your territory, given anchoring isn't possible. Additionally, increase the amount of Bollards needed to moor a ship depending on the ship's size and/or weight. 10. Select All or Individual Sail Controls @Shakarian Ability to control all sails from the wheel, or select which individual sails to give certain commands to. For instance, all sails selected by default. But press keys similar to the cannon crews to deselect certain sails. 11. Look-Out / Telescope @Aristocrates It is known that being at the top of a mast gives the player a slightly larger render-distance so they can see ships and such ahead of time, but it would be nicer if there was a Telescope sort of attachment to build on the Smithy that could be attached to the top of the mast, further improving this render distance for preparation or avoidance purposes. 12. Collidable Figureheads @Grodgen Collidable Figureheads: Currently they have no collision. You can't stand on them and it also limits their functionality as actual figureheads. 13. Rotatable Weight & Handling Sails @Kaitlynn Allen Add an option to rotate Weight Sails and Handling Sails 180 degrees when placed, depending on your desired placement at the front or back of the ship. 14. Rigging That Connects The Front Sail To The Figurehead @Kaitlynn Allen Add an option to connect sails via rigging placed at the front of the to the bow sprite/figurehead. 15. Catch Net @RebelMarmoset Add a structure for the front or sides of ships that catches flotsam and/or fish. Consequently, the longer the net is lowered, or the more items it catches, the more it slows the ship down. If you like any of these options, please reply to this thread with your comments and feel free to suggest some more ideas pertaining to ships! And a special thank you to @Jatheish for taking the time to read this! Loving the game.

Let's play a game! If you were a designer, what would you change about the following tamable creatures? We often hear feedback that players don't find value in most of the ones we've tamable, and I know some ideas have been shared in various threads previously but figured I'd make a giant thread where y'all can suggest. Not saying any of this is going to happen, but curious to see what you suggest. We got our base wipped by chemB. The whole company and most of the allied companies are leaving this game right now. Have fun with this cheating-friendly game. Not only they wipe, but also were drawing dicks and laughing at us with their cheats. Have fun

Mostly because the devs don't listen and bad at communication. They have allowed the Chinese exploiters to remain and raid people in PVE by bringing SOTD in. It doesn't surprise me at all. Don't get me wrong at this moment I enjoy it but as soon as the Chinese turn up and raid me with SOTD that's it for me, not even bothering with a ticket, what's the point? I view this game as having fun while it lasts, I have no hope for it in the future that's for sure.

You cried to get rid of SOTD, you cried to get rid of storms, now you cry because of boredom. Classic entitlement syndrome.

I think it will do fine imho, they don't need millions of ships, but different customization for each ship and things to tackle with them, SoF only has 3 types, but tons of customization. Also it's down to content, different encounters with treasure maps, different things to encounter on the sea, quests, player driven mission boards so player can create their own content. something to get people on their ships and exploring, agian it's the content and what is rewarded that will keep players going, if they don't, then the game will no go anywhere. PvP will be easier to keep players going, the struggle will be PvE. Also it doesn't need solo player to survive, not every game needs it and i'm saying this as a solo player

Can we get a structure or beast mastery feat that allows you to summon or tether animals? Think like force teleporting your animals to a boat. This could help prevent animals phasing through floors as you could just summon them to the pole, or keep them from running off too far while on neutral/aggressive.

My Grid doesn't have metal nodes. NONE. Do you know what I do? I get on my ship and go gather and bring it back to my base. Pain in the ass sure, but that's the choice I made when I built where I did. As far as gathering thatch, I grab my elephant, put him on follow and use him as a wagon while I run through a pocket full of pick axes. Get creative and have fun!

Parrot and crow- it may sound pointless to most people, but I want the parrot to record 3-5 seconds of its owners voice when they use the in game chat feature and say it back like a real parrot would. Maybe have 3 saveable slots that it will randomly say. Or make it something the player has to teach the parrot(and crow) by repeating the phrase. Why? Because it would be awesome to have a playful tame and both parrots and crows could benefit from this upgrade. Thanks for reading.

Glad to see you're still working on the ship sinking griefing. However, anything you can stay about raft spamming? The protections help us keep our ships but it also protects raft spammers and rafts in prime spots that have been abandoned for weeks.
