This doesn't kick anything into gear. Solo players will fight and steal resources because it's mathematically and practically impossible for them to do anything else. It forces players into playstyles that allow and broker no deviation.

The idea. Is a good one. The implementation is not. They need to relax the skill point gaps on certain trees, or give blanket buffs to skill points per level. It was a fine first attempt, but it's abjectly a failure.

No solo people will just trade of their own accord there needs to be tools like an auction house plus on a pvp server you try to trade with another island you get zerged by the mass horde

But there is no actual trade infrastructure in game. That's the major issue. With the current skill tree state, it's impossible to be functional in anything other then a zerg guild. 

This game is ment to be played as self sufficient group. If they wanted it to be different, they shouldn't have copied ark for their base game. That vision simply doesn't work for the current build.

No. They won't, because they can trade nothing of value. Your idea is a good one, but doesn't work in the current iteration.

So when you've already got a 75% negative review page, you go and irritate the majority (I assume) of the remaining player base with a Skill point change that screws the majority of people playing in small groups. I understand there are big companies, but even those are smaller groups within the faction. 

I thought this game was meant to be a Pirate mmo game?! If it's an mmo and you want specialisations, separate combat skills with crafting skills. 

Roll back the change!

With this point cost game become unplayable for solo players or for very little party.

I'm stubborn and seems like they trying to push me the solo player out of their game. So I'll keep playing and take up the challenge of  won't get me to quit -.-. Or take a different look at farming and won't spec into the more resource points and look at it like heh you can only lock storage boxes... I know what I'm farming now lol. At least till the company I use implement their unofficial files  so I can get server up.

@devs you might as well force new players to automatically join company after character creation... because you absolutely killed solo / small group play from this "MMORPG".

- соло игроки, я не любитель играть в больших компаниях, и данных людей не мало. и даже в маленьких группах с новым патчем будет невозможно играть. игра мне понравилась так как я наиграл много часов в арке. но данный патч заставил меня удалить ее до лучших времен. не вижу смысла тратить на нее время!!!

This was an absolutely fucking moronic change.

a) Nobody can come anywhere near enough talents with this change for viable solo (or even duo) play unless we really need to fucking respec just to build stone at 49, then respec to build our ships at 50, then respec to PVP at 51, which is a braindead design.

b) Companies/individuals who played prior to this change already HAVE stone bases, stone large gates, advanced weapons and armor, etc., that they would not have been able to acquire under the current skill system yet. If you're going to introduce a change like this, it needs to be accompanied with a FULL WIPE OF ALL SERVERS or you're putting every new player at such a huge disadvantage that there's little point in even playing.

c) What the fuck is your obsession with implementing massive timesinks in your game? Is there not enough end-game content that you REALLY need to implement things like 8 HOUR TAMING and forcing level 40+ just for crafting content we've all had for five days now?

Whatever dev came up with this change in its current form doesn't belong on any balance or design teams, period.

i got 41 lvl and when all skill cost was 1 point i havent all skills that i need. for now game looks totally  dead.

Ye you do know MMO’s are for groups right? That’s why they made this skill tree because MMO’s are extremely hard for solo players.

this skill system is good for pvp servers . i think there is players looking 4 a company. Solo or duo or trio play isnt possible in pvp for sure. Better choice for devs is rollback skill system at least on pve servers

No, they aren't. I played WoW at the highest level for several years, was HotA and Grand Marshal in S13, finished several end-game PVE raids, etc. by utilizing LFG when I felt like doing those things and playing solo 100% of the time otherwise. 

I played solo in the Warhammer MMO when it was out as a White Lion and was Tier 3 entirely through solo play. 

End-game content in MMOs can be finished with PUGs on demand and otherwise, day-to-day PVE/PVP aspects are not all impacted by not having a group of 5-40 with you at all times.

I have been able to play solo and group in most every other mmo i have played. Limited player skills is not advisable. Must force groups at signup and maybe assign role there? this is crazy...Give skill points back pls
