how to change one resource on one island to another?

Anyone know how we can replace one default resource on one or two islands with another version? For example, we have basalt coming out the ears, and would like to replace it with obsidian if all possible... ideally this should be done just from the servergrideditor using sublevels or spawnoverrides or something along those lines? For example, someone has mentioned that obsidian appears on the MNT_W_WU island... could we just take the sublevels from that island and add them to our island MNT_J_WU? Not sure if anyone has tried this, but dayam the lack of specific resource spawn really makes hosting a pain
