Any plans on removing the extremely monotonous minigame mechanic?

Are there any possibilities to add new skill/feat in captaineering to allow you to change NPCs placements on cannons while on a steering wheel/podium? Would be more of an advanced commands like with beastmastery tier yadda-yadda commands for certain creatures, that would be very useful for people who solo on a schooner and they would like to save slots for players to be on.

Will we be able to get 2Wx4Hx1L walls like medium gates for advanced pens? Spam of little walls still ruins fps and server stability from what we know and this could only help the aesthetics and utility to have.

Snap points on masts for decor flags? That would only make the flags much more simpler.

Any plans for a war horn? Something that would work like a feat, but as an item, would have a cooldown, and an ability to give people increased damage output by like 15% (not making it as strong as Razors roar).

Do you think you will wipe the servers again at some point? Personally I am ok with the the first wipe but doing it twice can be a scary thing I feel.

Any plans to seriously nerf the element of Tames in PVP 

Any plans to limit the amount of cannons and where they can placed on boats? some of these designs are a bit ridiculous and would capsize the moment they left dry dock.

Any plans to remove some of the chore of suppling your defence on your island - Crew gold/Food having to make multiple Resource boxes and larders and make sure they are paid/filled every other day is a real draining chore

If you have blueprinted items such as a Fine Metal Hatchet if you die with it on your bar and re-equip it, it does not go back onto your bar like a grey tool would it goes into your inventory - any plans to change this

As a way of boosting your player headcount on the game - any plans to do a Free to Play Weekend?

Hey, a couple of questions

-are you planning to increase FPS when there are a lot of ships, structures and NPCs around. 

-are you planning to make the server ping better when it is almost full?

-can we get a chance to draw a course for an NPC and make it sail a ship for us. Let it not get attacked by SOTD (but remain vulnerable to other players). It can take longer than a real player to sail from A to B but it would still save a lot of time for the player.

1. Would you consider a tow line (for the ships)?

2. Hoistable sloops?
Currently a ship the size of a galleon should either be able to get a couple of sloops hoisted up (like the dingy) or have them in tow. It stands to reason that towing would create drag. It would provide extra mechanics for island exploration as well as offer extra tactics for island attacks.

3. Stilts or growth potion?
For many of us the dwarf height was not intentional and running through the landscape was far more enjoyable when I had at least an average height. A growth potion would be a welcome addition to rectify this. But stilts might be an even more fun idea. The should give you a speed advantage as well probably combined with higher vulnerability (as it is easier to lose your balance). They should be the type of stilts that don't require the use of your hands.

4. Fortune favors the rich?
Would you consider side-effects to a companies wealth? Example: 10% health bonus to all settlers on an island where the treasury holds more than x gold?
Obvioulsy something similar can be accomplished by selling totems that have such an effect for a settlement.

5. Reputation/Karma in PvE?
What is your vision on these for PvE?

1- Will there be more mission variety in PVE? Example, escort an NPC to another port,  attack a native village to get gold or slaves, attack a cutthroat encampment to steal their stuff and base, trade 1000 Wetwood to a Freeport merchant somewhere on the map, board and capture the stolen ship and return it to it’s Freeport owner. 

2- When will it be possible to board enemy or NPC merchant ships and take over their stuff including their ship?

3- Any plans to add trade goods for gold? Example: We play the North West Company in the tundra and we specialize in fur trading. We need beaver pelts to sell them for gold at the Freeport. Some goods should be rare in order to create offer and

4- Ship anchoring system in the deep waters (rope via a connected base or underwater platform we can create with ceilings and then drop anchor over it.

5- Any plans to have berry seeds? In the arctic, I can plant vegetables that require a lot of warmth and sunlight but arctic berries are a no go???

Are you planning to improve recipe drops so that we don't get 2 masterwork larders from a lvl 38 ship of the damned?

What are the plans for monetizing the game long term? With player population dwindling are there plans for DLC? Will something like a cosmetic shop or subscriptions ever be a thing?

Are we going to see any actual direction for the PvE flag side of things any time soon?

We were told a couple times now that PvE would be continued to be updated and developed as we go and find a new PvP flag setup but we've stayed an afterthought this whole time now with no official mention anywhere about that actually happening. whole grids go unclaimed.. Still seeing pillar spam in PvE, still seeing more people on lawless servers then claimed lands.

I only have 1 single question.

Question: Why does a blueprint sail of 120% max speed increase has the same speed of a regular non blueprint sail?

Are you even aware of this non sense lie?

!!!! We spend hours getting mats for the blueprints for Large speed sails and in the end they are 100% the same as a regular non blueprint sail !!!!!

So we did tests and figured out better speed sails don't increase speed of ship at all. Max velocity stat simply isn't working rn. Tested with 3 brigs on 52% weight, 1 with 120% max velo sails, 1 with 104% and 1 with common speed sails. These brigs had exactly the same speed, we sailed the same direction side by side from our harbor to the end of sector.

Better quality speed sails are practically just for more durability until they fix it. Don't waste materials for them.

I would really love to see legit drawbridges and a iron barred drop gate large stone wall door added to the game! id love that so much! imagine a moat of high breed bears n tigers on aggressive. ppl shooting from the walls. imagine the siege.

2) Why has there been so little communication about the battle eye issues and its fixes?

When might we see new ship types or sizes for players?  maybe even new skins for current ships sizes to give us more options and new looks.

What is the possibility to link a resource chest to other crafting stations (smithy, loom, ect) so it pulls the needed resources directly from the resource chest.  link with a pin code or some other way.  would also be a great QOL that when crafting something in a players inventory, if I have a smithy or resource chest open it will pull the needed resources from there.  So players do not need to constantly resources around to craft.

Have you planned something close to a caging system?

 

It would be so nice to have different sized cages that you can snatch to specific areas on some ships. There could be small spaces for schooners and medium to big sized ones for the gally and brig. Also some kind of railing where you put small creatures on to always have them on a safe spot on your boat.

So alot of issue I seem to see is actually the long sail times to alot of places. So would you consider another idea of implementing currents which rotated around the world map. Similarly to the wind. Say you  are sailing with a current, with the wind u get a 25 percent boost  to speed. 

You should also add a skill to captaineering called windreader when ur captaining a ship you can read the winds to give you a boost.

 

Will the non power stone islands be adjusted to add caves and underground caverns with lakes.

1. Have you considered a generalized auction system for trade like most other MMOs? If not why?

2. Any plans to expand submarines? Any chance of us getting ship scale ones?

3. What kind of weapons are you considering adding from here? A revolver of some type would be sweet.

We need a ceiling version of this as well please. Also please a simple cut in half version of all of the above, ie its one unit wide but only half a unit long. It also occurred to me that if we had a 5x5 ceiling and floor it would dramatically reduce the size of the database for large structures and the rules for checking them - needs one post in the middle square and its done. Be perfectly ok if it took the same amount of resources to make them as making 25 of the corresponding item. So the question is could we see an update to the simple building items and perhaps a carpenters workbench that's similar to a smithy but you can craft wood and thatch building items in and for those with esoteric building a masonry workbench for stone building items. I would love to see a change to the stack sizes of certain things such as berries, meat, etc to go with the increase to the harvest rate from ark, I also have a few ideas on items, weapons, and the like I would love to see to add some variety.

- A Vault or some kind of actual chest style structure that can hold upwards of 100 items as I'm tired of having 30 boxes for just armor or weapons. Think like the vault in ark although maybe not as durable.

- I'd love to see an old style hand cannon for that handheld pirate styled explosive murdering. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hand_cannon

- I'd also love to see Cats and Dogs added as pets that increase the stats of the ship while on board as its assumed that pirates had these animals for anything from just companionship to mousing, or even security.

- On the bit more fantasy side I'd like to see possibly a way to shoot a line at a boat to board it like how ziplines work currently.

- Finally I'd personally love to see more fixes to just things me and my friends have noticed over time like how seemingly with the new handharvesting skill affecting tools now it doesn't seem to be working on higher damage tools than common, the previously mentioned speed sail issue, and I was wondering about the lack of a mythical shield skill or are there just no mythical shields?

 

I've seen some great ideas here and I would love to see the game grow and hope for more pvp.

Hello, 

 

     Will you create any sort of phone app integration for companies in-game so they can see whats going on while at work or receive messages? I think this would be good for some so when they are away from their computer, they will know if someone is placing claims, etc.  even though we can change combat timers it would be good to receive a notification in case someone is not online on our phone when being a leader or admin.

 

#2 will there be any company rank system in place, one that lets us create the ranks? I feel the one in place is very basic with people being an admin or a recruit basically. Having a customization rank system would benefit especially in this type of game if you want to consider it an MMO.

 

#3 Will you have an in-game Company find system? I feel it would be easier for new players to join companies being smaller cause the game is really big and servers are semi player diluted.

Can you fix the global temperatures on some areas temperate climates that climb over 134 degrees and deserts only go up to around 110

Its early access like beta people always drop off because they dont want to troubleshoot bugs etc

1. Any chance we might increase gold drop rate for SOTD, Shipwrecks, or Flotsom?

2. Any chance we might increase whale/squid spawn rate? Whaling/squidding for gold currently feels too inconsistent.

3. What is crab meat used for?!

4. Can we implement some sort of combat activity short of taking someone's island? I.E. if you successfully attack an enemy island, you can choose to implement a 10% tax for 3 days.

5. Any plans for adding more melee flavor ala Conan Exiles?
