Willard 245 Posted April 24, 2019 Hey guys, anyone tested how "ship quality" (pressing F on the boat shows you its quality according to quality of shipyard ypu used to build a boat) stat translates into max. lvl of boats? Because rn ship quality is different according to durability of the shipyard (it doesnt matter what quality shipyard is - legendary, mastecraft, mythical etc., just what the durability is). What that stat a actually does? Has anyone tested it yet?
globytheoldpirate 119 Posted April 24, 2019 One level per tier Not really worth actually
uaf 47 Posted April 24, 2019 Where is this "durability is what counts" coming from? Anybody tested this?

One of them is lower durability than the other one and ship quality is much lower while build in lower durability shipyard than in the higher one. By a LARGE margin. Maff 0 Posted April 26, 2019 Durability is the defining factor for ship quality. My findings are. Small 128% (legendary) durability - 116% ship quality Small 181% (Mythic) durability - 166% ship quality Large 154% (Mythic) Durability - 147% ship quality. So durability does count, what i havent managed to test is how many extra levels you can get for each as levelling ships takes forever.

What is unclear is if extra levels are modified by durability or only by shipyard quality no matter what durability is. It seems logical to me it should be according to ship quality since nothing else on the boat is influenced by this stat. If you open a shipyard you will actually see hit point/bonus levels menu. Right now it show only hit points/hit points. Once they fix this it should bring us a clarity. If bonus levels are added just by quality of shipyard like green, blue, MC, Legendary and Mythic no matter what durability of the shipyard and ship quality is that means "ship quality" stat is purely cosmetic. MesCaLiN 36 Posted June 3, 2019 Every 10% ship quality means +1 max ship lvl. A 180% quality ship will gain 8 max ship lvls so it will level up to 50.
photek 66 Posted June 3, 2019 like many posts before, it is still the same sh. rework needed.
