Blocking ships with shipyards/big walls

We were doing some nice fights on the sea and in enemy harbors yesterday. We probably discovered new toxic meta. You can build everywhere and everytime rn. We were on our gally in their harbor and owners simply put large shipyard behind our backs and blocked us completely. We destroyed that harbor and were moving away with gally, bam, big wall placed directly in front of us so we crashed into it.

So rn you can't go to enemy harbors with your ships because you will get blocked with spammed large walls. You can practically wall enemy ship in a few seconds.

There should be some kind of building cooldown if there is a fight going.

I strongly advise everyone not to go inside enemy harbor until they fix this.

This isn't new, I dropped a yard in front of somebody my first week of the game.

Ye but problem is anyone can build everywhere now. You can do it even in enemy harbors now.

Everything that kills zerg , I welcome. How will you now bully small tribes to pay you taxes, when you know you can not conquer them, and they know it too.

Can you go play PvE and stop whining about megacompanies on PvP forums? Every post of yours is crying about megacompanies. Just stop. This issue isn´t connected to megacompanies. You don´t want anyone in your harbor? Build a fuckin defence tower. Learn the game. 

Do you think you will harm megacompanies with sinking their ship by this? They have 20 more m8, sorry to tell you. This harms smaller companies more because they don´t have a lot of ships usually.

I posted an issue which needs to be solved. You come here and start talking shit about megacompanies again which isn´t connected to the issue anyhow. Nothing to topic, just whining about megacompanies. If you have nothing to say about this issue and just want to whine about megacompanies again then just don´t write at all.

Can you tell me which small companies have problem with capped server zergs after wipe? Because I have seen only 1 nearly capped (140 people) server during afterwipe, and it was us with all our allies fighting against Cobra+Dark project Armada on L10. Which means us with another 3 companies against 2 megas. 

Stop making up stories about poor small companies being server capped by a mega. It does not exist anymore.

And you know who blocked our ship like that? Yes, it was a mega, not small company. Which means we could not sink their ships which means they are stronger and they can abuse you little tribes 😉

There should be a mechanic in place like in ark, where you cannot build too close to an "enemy foundation" and just include ships as floating enemy foundations.  Then it would auto block anyone trying to spam walls, gates, yards etc near someone elses ship.

On pve they could do the same, only allow a shorter claim time, maybe 2-3 days so if people tried to exploit it, you could sink their pve ships and salvage them.

Ships and Foundations/Pillers should have a sort of anti building control zone around them.

cant include ships as structures that block building , i can only imagine the greifing going on , even with short decay all players would do is fast travel to them every day to refresh , wont work in any shape or form

Still ways to resolve it.  Can just make a ticket and if grapeshot publically banned them, utilising the patch banner msg something like ' "123" and his "123 company" banned for 6 months for exploiting.' It'd make the entire server aware of the penalities of exploiting the game in this way.

 

We used to do this on our minecraft server, add names of people banned to  boards as new players entered the server.  And via banner on the screen.  It almost extinguished exploitation and cheating on the server overnight.  Still got tourist exploiters, every so often, but those you just perma banned anyway.  People used to do quite serious hacking attacks, ddos'ing etc until the tech was brought in to combat it.  irl Hackers get longer sentences than almost any other crime, it needs to be dealt with the same way as forums in the games as well.

You can right now, get banned from the forums for life for just swearing at people or being racist or homophobic etc.. but you do it in the game and you get nothing.. at all.  You exploit, steal, ridicule, push someone to suicide.. nothing. Nada, zilch.. and it just isn't acceptable.  We need gms ingame and the gms in and out of the game need proper logs to track offences and deal with people, both tempory and permenant bans.
