They wanted you to play ARK, you can even say they liked ARK, but ATLAS is just a reskin which was made for the 1 time purchase value. Now the only thing they have to do is getting rid of even more of their players by making such stupid decissions over and over and reducing the prize of the game to sell a few more copies... So you're basically stuck in a grinding game. I need elephant to progress, the numbers of wood I need to chop by hand, esp in regards to axes wearing out, access to trees etc Then there's the tech tree itself.. need elephant.. you got it.. oh still want to ride it and try to build a decent ship.. plus you'll want cannons on that ship.. it's like you are expected to spec taming.. tame everything, build up massive amounts of resources, in the hundreds of thousands of units.. then respec to ship building... And if you need to use the animals again, respec back.. At least in Ark it was just go and tame, use it, advance, have fun. Atlas is pure grind.. unnecessary grind. Pointless grind. When do you realize that the business model of MMO’s with heavy upfront development costs that are made back over time through revenue streams supported by active ongoing playerbases rather than revenue primarily derived from game sales (which in this model typically barely cover development costs) makes them horribly pointless candidates for the cash grab you and endless other poorly informed gamers keep looking foolish suggesting? Bottom line: trying to do a cash grab with an MMO like Atlas would be like trying to use a unicycle as your getaway vehicle for a bank robbery. Stop suggesting this is the case, it would be wildly impractical as a scam and suggesting it just makes you look as foolish as all the others who have done so. The only way Grapecard makes money with Atlas is if lots of people stick around and play it over time once cash shops are put in.
