Archery. Learn it ASAP.
The bow and arrow will make your life 100x easier when it comes to hunting or protecting yourself.
Spears break constantly...so while making a bow will be more costly up front, it'll save you time and materials in the long run

left click when you have your bare hands out, then click when the meter is on the white section of the bar. it'll pop up 3 times. then be patient for the spring to pop up and BAM drink some water

make sure you're in a grassy area and watch for the top of the screen and red lettering. some places are dry with no water, some places don't have enough green stuff

Fishing requires you to have a chair to sit on also to use the Fishing rod. So until then fill that blue vitamin bar up by swimming in that deep blue ocean and manhandling a manta ray after it's death back on land to two poppa chop!

Most trouble i have when i start a new character is making my first pickaxe. 

Punching stones and tree's to get those resources hurt me a bit to much.

I think that needs a little adjustment.

Has anyone figured out how to get salt? Cause most of the recipes require it but i cant figure out how to get it

try finding stones on the ground vs hitting rocks with your hands, I was able to hit a tree a bit to get the wood. Then make a pickaxe, use that on a tree (hope for some wood) on rocks for flint, then craft an hatchet. Finally when you have them both gather resources to get spear or club.
