LSG 7 Posted December 25, 2018 So I have the vitamin skills max level so they don't deplete as fast, but I feel like that is a mistake to do so. Because I am running into issues when I am out harvesting using a lot of stamina and regenerating which lowers my hunger. My vitamins stay full and my hunger is empty so I have no idea what I can eat to fill it without overfilling on vitamins and dying. I feel like either way I am screwed, I either just die of hunger and respawn which is kind a lame doing over and over again. Or eat to survive but getting debuffs of having to many of 1 type of vitamin. There needs to be a food type that doesn't give a vitamin source at all to counter this issue. The cooking tree I am 2/3 done and most of the food I could make only provides 2 of the 4 but the ingredients are way too much to be realistically worth trying to do. Has anyone run into these issues, has anyone found work arounds or has tips? At this point I personally think this vitamin system is ruining my experience and its too tedious and maybe should be removed personally.
Danielnz00 9 Posted December 25, 2018 (edited) Your best bet for now will be to level up fort stat and just kill yourself more , I noticed unlocking the better armor does change how much the cold affects us Edited December 25, 2018 by Danielnz00
LSG 7 Posted December 26, 2018 Yeah that is a shame, I've tried better armor as well with putting stats into my fort. It doesn't seem to be helping that much right now, sad I can only keep respawning myself to keep my stats up...
Hackjob 57 Posted December 26, 2018 I really think this system needs work and his example is perfect reason. There's to many things to control not enough vitamin to high vitamin. I think a good change would be that you can't overdose on vitamin in most cases your body would just pee out what your body doesn't use. System needs a rework
XiViX 1 Posted December 26, 2018 Dude this is by far one of the worse ideas wild card has come up with. its not fun. no one is digging the vitamin game. no one is digging not being able to make a bed on lawless items and unable to spawn close to your body because its randomized. no one is digging the long grinding to get blown up - make it easier to grind (way easier) so you don't care about losing your shit as much and it opens up the opportunity to keep aggression and pvp more active. Nox 56 Posted December 26, 2018 The system is not really well done. Vitamins being full being toxic is really the problem. If that weren't the case, then the system would be robust.

Aus_Karlos 0 Posted December 26, 2018 Reset you stats, on the main Survival skill tree go down to water skin, then cooking, then select the Vitamin buffs. All 3 decrease your loss by 30%. When on a Ship sailing dance to use up stamina which makes you hungry, Also cooking recipes mix different food groups together for bonuses. Leveling up your ships Accommodation decreases Vitamin loss by 2.5% per level. Putting stats in Fortitude is the most inefficient way to decrease vitamin loss, put some in Stamina so you can dance longer to get hungry quicker. Also look into the Music/Dance skill tree to increase stamina loss and enable music buffs (craft musical instruments) which i think also decreases vitamin loss. (Havn't confirmed this yet need to craft an instrument).

One thing you have missed about the hunger and the vitamin system is that this drives the use of the Cooking skill to create rounded meals that are very filling. And Farming is needed to get all of the items needed for a good recipe created in one place. And Farmers will need to trade for seeds from distant lands with visiting explorers. And such trade really can't safely occur with out Company bases, which we are barely starting to make right now. --------- You are missing the greater economy that is hoped for in the mid game to drive Company interaction, because its very need is driven by a food system that is hard to survive at the early stages of the game, in my opinion. Your suggestion is trying to erase interdependancy between characters, specialists in specific skill trees.
