multiple same names

Can people have the same first name or how does that work? can multiple people have the same name?

I'd assume that 100% same would not work, but different first/last spelling or spacing etc would work.

so if i have the name Dad Bad (for example). nobody can have the first name Dad. theyt would need to spell it d4d? or something?

Id assume that:

F: Bad L: Dad    would block anyone from doing   F:Bad L:Dad... but not block:

 

F: Bad Dad L: Dad

F: Dad L: Bad

F:Badd L: Dad

 

etc

 

 

 

Easiest way would be to test it with lvl 1 chars.

If it's like SWTOR Legacy system only the family name was unique.  Apparently there's going to be a system where your character ages and dies and you play as their kid, so they'll share the same last name

The family name is not unique. My husband and I have the same last name in game.

You can use the same first and last name, names are not unique. Multiple people can have the same names.

The same goes for Company names, boat names, animal names, etc
