Minimise the mega tribe?

I know this could be out there or a little bit crazy. But what do u think of putting a hard cap of 30 online players on the company with 20 offline?

That would suck unless you could have multiple characters on the same server,

Unable to Connect: Sorry you cannot log in now because too many people from your company are online!

If you were playing with a group of active players you would never get anything done.
Limiting the company members to like 50 would be fine with me though.

Good point when was there ever a group of 500 pirates all working together ?.

OFC 250 per company is too much.

 

If a server has 150-200 CAP, a company can full a server. 

So máximum 100 per company would be fair

The dev plan is big company only, so 250 limit it's already hard for them. You can't make a good alliance system anymore, so if you limit too much the big company....well game over !

That's still can be done with your allies if your in an alliance that has 3 other companies than u can do this with 2 companies at 100 each

How is this game over! wouldn't making the companies smaller increase the number of companies. Thus making the game more competitive for everyone.  less stagnation because your afraid to attack anyone because they could be allied with a big company. 

They could have an official serverfarm that has smaller company limits and test it out.

Without the island new system and structure, the only think who can work is to make 100-150 players limitation company and make a new alliance system. New littles companies can come back and fight together against big company. + each time your company grow, each time a limit number of alliance is make.
So for example if a big company has 10 players, she can make an alliance with 20 companies. If She has already 50 players, she can make an alliance with  only 2 company, and If she has already 100-150 players, she can't make alliance, she's alone.

Are you serious ? Never heard of Madame Ching ? She commanded up to 40.000 pirates. And there are a lot more that commanded hundreds of pirates

Actually, this could only work with the new system. 

Suppose we limit the company size to 50 (or maybe even 25) and 3 registered official allies. Only one war declaration can be made on an island. So, with a limit of 25 per company the maximum attacker size is 100.

We should assume, that the owner of such island has his own 25 man company + hopefully 3 official allies and on top of that, they have smaller companies on the island as well, that would be allowed to help defend. So the defender size has the potential of being greater than the number of attackers. This would be a significant improvement on the current system, where theoretically large tribes of 500 could overrun a server grid completely on their own.

With the new system, big tribe making multiple small companies has no benefit to them in wartime, as only the ones that declared war on the island have the expanded raid attack time, the others would still be limited to the original 9 hours or maybe even to 0 hours during the wartime, with no possibility to pvp on the island or damage a building, they could only help with logistics.

I think they should revise the number dien from 250. Not sure it's needs to be as low and complex as your suggestion, but 100 would be a good start.

Look at CSTG. They fractured their entire company into multiple allied companies early on specifically for this reason. Point is that if people want to work together even outside of their own company they will find a way.
