connect 2 servers

If i rent 2 thimes a 1x1 server. Or rent one server, and run one on my own computer. is there some way i can connect them.

Is there a setup video or something showing how to do this? How does the redis DB work if there are two running on 2 different servers. Doesn't the redis DB need to be shared?
