ViperGuyMike 18 Posted February 5, 2019 I would like to suggest taking a look at using something like Eve's killboards for company ratings. Maybe combine ship kill/loss ratio with tons of cargo hauled or gold earned at market or something. My company members and I feel this would be a better measure of which companies are truly superior. For the kill/loss ratio, you could use the number of planks on a ship, ship type, or cannons or something to assign a value to each kill or loss. By combining kill/loss with some measurement of trade, companies who are good at transporting and selling goods would be able to compete with the heavyweight pvp companies for the top slots as they should be able to. This would also place more of an emphasis on trade as well. Implementing an API system such as Eve's would also allow third party devs to create interesting sites to display and rank players and companies alike as well as possibly offer occasional prizes or events. As a whole, this would likely offer new goals and content to players and companies thus benefiting the entire community.
