Magpie 6 Posted January 30, 2019 I like the upcoming skins from different cultures- but can we get some feminine clothing skins? Like- the typical "pirate wench" clothing? After having watched the live stream May mega update Q & A. I understand they mentioned trying to gear the costumes towards both men and women, but I have to agree that I don't feel that's really the case at all. I certainly don't see the harm in making a very PG Pirate Wench outfit. As is.....When a male character places a common hide hat on his head. He is awarded a rather large singular feather. That is NOT the case when a female character equips the same said hat. That feather is missing.....Which is quite sad really. A vast majority of your players. Are girls We like pretty things. RenWmn 30 Posted May 4, 2019 One of the things that I absolutely respect about the clothing design so far is that male and female skins are not vastly different. In fact I'd honestly suggest that we don't need major differences in design beyond fit to a female form. I so despise the games where you have sensible male outfits and "sexy time" female equivalents especially for armor. I don't mind there being something fit and attractive for females, but I really want to make sure there is a male equivalent. If you have an alluring outfit for a female model than make it that way for males as well. I don't want to see something being overly sexy. (I know this is hard to quantify but there is a way to make an outfit appealing and the character within in attractive without looking like they are getting ready for a soft core porn shoot.) I don't want to be faced with every female player being super sexy everywhere. So please do not add a skin like this for armor. I just want to make sure that Grapeshot continues to be mindful of the portrayal of women in Atlas. I want the game to continue to feel like a safe and inclusive place. krazmuze 120 Posted May 4, 2019 (edited) Trying not to be sexist on stream they suggested they have a list of mostly unisex m/f variants to get thru for skins. After that they would consider sexier outfits for women but suggested if they did do more RP clothing - say a belly dancer outfit they jokingly said to be equal opportunity they would have to make a male thong version....it came off more sounding like that was why they would not do it. Personally I play both male and female characters and would like just enough distinction so that from the backside I can tell which character I am on rather than doing a beard check using k mode....
