Status Notification - Remove Steam Name and use Character name or ...

So, a feature called Status Notification, which will show you the steam names of people entering into the region.

 

Suggestion for this is to change it from Steam name to character name because people are gaming it by changing steam names / creating alias's.

Or remove the feature, and do not have any announcement when players enter in the region.

Additionally On Official PVP Servers - this feature can  be used outside of the game client to provide valuable information on players or company locations.

Something needs to change about that, scouting / player location should be a ingame mechanic, not some 3rd party site(s) that queries the steam server lists.
