Solo/small team PVP survival guide for casual players

Recommended Posts

So, you dream of ruling an island in Atlas together with your friend ? Building and owning a mighty fleet of galleons ? Building an invincible stone fortress high on a rock ? Sailing and plundering other islands ?

This wont work my friend, and this is why :

All islands, even in icy tundra, are completely take by companies with several hundred up to several thousand players. How will you defend against 100 naked people swarming your island placing flags and stone ?

Ok, and the mighty war fleet ? Doesn’t matter which ship you build and how you build : It is 100% destroyed or stolen when you log in the next day.

But... can you at least have the invincible stone fortress on a rock. Unfortunately no. If this fortress is reachable by cannons/beat carts you are done. If not, then they build a 1x1 high tower with a cannon/mortar on top...and you are done.

But.. sailing and plundering other islands ? I mentioned all islands are taken by megatribes. As soon as you start your siege and plunder tour you will be swarmed by hornets and sunk. And if really manage to plunder that mastercraft blueprint ? Where do you want to store it ? In your raided rock fortress ? On your stolen galleon ?

So, what to do ? Live in freeports ! Yes, your ship will be gone after your raiding day. But it will be gone nevertheless, independent of where you park it (see above).

Make a second account on steam. Store plundered valuables on that second char.

When you come from work or it is weekend : Log in, buy a sloop, build some cannons and foundations, and here we go ! Sail, explore, plunder. If you see a nice base place a cannon or mortar..plunder ! Bring the loot back to your mule in the freeport.

Say bye bye to your loyal sloop, salvage what you can, log off, go to bed and sleep knowing that you lost nothing while offline.

If you need to level up, well, then start a level trip instead of a plunder trip.

This will be much better for your mental health than beeing fugged day by day.
