Wildlife Target and Attack Me inside My House while Logged off!

So, I went away for a few hours, real life reared it's ugly head, and when I log back into game I was notified I was killed by a lion. Inside my house! They also destroyed my cooking pot. Plus, I lost the contents of the cooking pot and whatever it was they I had on my body when killed (metal tools). Why are the wildlife attacking players inside their homes? How do they even target us? This is a serious bug issue. This needs to be looked at and resolved quickly.
