How do you delete / recreate your character?

I can't seem to find it - how do we delete our character, so we can re-create it?

Die in game and then you will get a selection screen with the map and options at the bottom of the screen to respawn or make a new pathfinder.etc

Never played ark so that's irrelevant to the question.

You will eventually starve.  Speed it up by depleting your stamina by jumping, punching, sprinting.  It will eat through your food reserves.
