Resources and You - Atlas

Recommended Posts

Just thought I would compile a list of Where to get what resource since I could not find any one place that listed them all and the Wiki is not yet update(plan to do some of that next). I got All these values/info from the game directory “steamapps\common\ATLAS\ShooterGame\Content\Atlas\AtlasCoreBP\HarvestComponents”. The listed Zones in that directory(which you can find below) are,  NE Tropical, NW Temperate, E Temperate, W Tropical, W Tundra, Equator, Polar, C High Desert, C Low Desert, Ocean Floor.

I will List zones then what you can find in them. Keep in mind free ports might be different in that zone. There is not a folder for some zones (North West Tropic, North East Temperate, et...) So I assume it might share the same values as its corresponding zone. Keep in mind these are just the HarvestComponent, what they yield might not be exactly what they are named. Many zones have more than 2 woods you can gather.

Nice man, good job and thank you. If it's not done by this weekend I'll help you update the wiki with pictures of all these as well.

Really good job mate, but i think you need one more categorie, "Gems",  cuz the Emerald, Rubis are giving gems actually and the Quartz giving Crystal. Keep up the good work!

I stumbled on this in the client files today.  Based on this, it seems that base metal doesn't actually spawn anywhere other than on Freeport islands.

I agree but I was just displaying the Data in the files them self, from the HarvestComponents. All of the Gems are labeled crystal, thus I put it in the crystal label. I agree tho, the list need to be sorted to show that they are not used as Crystal. Just displaying the data.

But are sugars sap as well? I have something called "Sugars/Resource-Sugar". It looks like the sap symbol in the top right. Anyone else seen this?

Yes, sugars are sap.

Also, Wheatgrass is a plant in Eastern Temperate that gives Wheat. And the main wood is called "softwood", not pine or poplar. You can also, rarely, get "Darkwood" from bamboo gathering. Technically it is "Wild Onion", not onion.

And you get Potatoes by digging.

Again the information provided is directly from the HarvestComponets directory within the Atlas itself. There are clearly incorrect and miss labeled items, However I was just trying to get the ball rolling on compiling a list of where to start looking for what. I did not name the files nor cook the final version this way. With the dev kit this is the best I could do.

I will try to see if I can expand the list with some UE4 tools.

I did not include any item in this file as just saying they exist is not enough information I felt but I will add it to the list, all be it not that useful without knowing where to get it.

Well... i was looking for wheat and the other guy asked about it in this thread and with the info you posted i was able to look it up for myself...and posted the result of the search because to me.. being in a "temp" folder.... means that it is NOT going to be found on the map lol.. it means its something special that they testing

I agree. I added the information from both that folder and 'RareFoliage'. Now we just have to update the wiki... and figure out the correct harvest yields!

Looks like Wheat Grass(aka Wheat) can be found in L5 and L12 (both Free ports) in the East Temperate zone.
