Patch 528 Teaser - Slow and Steady

Recommended Posts

Ahoy Pathfinders!

We all know that you all have been anxiously awaiting the next patch and we're almost ready to give it to you. While we make the last few final adjustments, we just want to thank you for your patience and hope to deliver on your expectations with the next update. Until then, we want to give you a small peek into what we've been working so diligently on.

Along with other "bug" fixes, we've made a small change to your friendly neighborhood spider friends that may have you and your crew reaching new heights!

We've also got a few visual additions to spruce up your buildings to make things seem the hostile waters a little more hospitable.

Finally, plodding its way on to the battlefield, we're bringing a new weapon to add to your arsenal that may leave your enemies a little "shell" shocked.

Again, we would like to emphasize that ATLAS is still in Early Access, meaning many things can and will likely continue to drastically change - even in the middle of development. Anything discussed is only up to date as of the moment it is posted. Features and changes that ultimately make it to the next patch, as well as timing, may be different from what was previously discussed.

As always, we appreciate the suggestions and feedback from the community. Please keep them coming! Thank you for all of your support! 🙂

Will the spider now be able to climb the sheer cliffs? Urgently make a platform for him so that you can put a cannon there! Reduce the maximum height for Puckle even more! Be sure to make a platform for the dragon too! So that you can even put cannons on it! And even better if you make the entire map lawless! Offline raids are much more interesting than online war! Work, work!

A life on the ocean wave

riding on our pets

But we ate them in the end

cos we're Pyrates not blo##y vets.

Recommended tune , a life on the ocean wave, (Sargent/russell) or a similar sea shanty.

Is this an out of season april fool's joke?  You guys sometimes makes me think you are intentionally trying to torpedo this game so you can work on a something from TenCent so you can get a Cosby room.

Once again ... So sad to see what you made to this game ...

The goal was to be a Pirate game ... Now Spiders Mount ...
The fantasy is over for good. Bye Atlas...

Too little too late.  We've already quit, uninstalled and moved onto other games.  If you want players to come back, stop throwing these useless modular boats down our throats and listen to the community suggestions.  Spiders and potted plants aren't going to fix the problems this game has.  The real content in Atlas is the player on player interactions, which currently are unbalanced, and not fun at all.  Ship fights are too rare because no one really has a reason to sail around since good blueprints are impossible to find, and the ones that have them are too scared to risk it.  Ground pvp is dominated by swivels carts that 1 shot and cheesy stunlock and torpor mechanics with shields and maces.  It's just not a fun game to play.  These issues with the game go ignored over and over and over again.  Either listen to your player base, or just give it up.  The path you guys have been taking is doomed for failure.

We dont Need Armor .

Just Remove the Fucking Barrel from Ship PVP ... FGTS!

Your choice to bring them back to Sea PVP was Stupits asfk and after 1 Year you makeing Ship rebuild after that 1 Shootings even Harder nice...

You killed your own Game in Early Acsess and no Playerbase thats using your Contend means no Devs are needed anymore to create more and the Game will shut down.... But that Devlopment here is almost on zero and that little sparks with good ideas fails on bad integrations and no balanceing so no loose in my mind

Hello ATLAS team, it's nice that you're bringing out a new update soon. But can you not even concentrate on the GRID Editor, that this is easier to use, maybe that you do a WIKI, what you set etc. You promised this WIKI months ago and unfortunately nothing happened. Then it would be great if there might be the opportunity to bring the resources back into play or if the private server operator could put them on your server. Then it would be great if you integrated an option for private server operators into the ini that removes the height restriction. I have a couple of islands here on my MAP and it's already very high and you can't build there anymore. Thank you

Wouldn't sea pvp become much more focused on blueprinted stuff if once you sink a ship you can salvage all the remaining items still on the ship for single use. so if you manage to sink the mythical gally you than can salvage about 30 precrafted planks some cannons and maybe a good sail (since its precrafted its heavy so less easy to get away with ). this will also make it so that you want to disable the enemy with the least amount of dmg to their ship so the "loot" is bigger . which will make the fight stay near the recently sunkenship coz of the potential mass of precrafted items. ( fyi: get rid of the barrels in canons ).

:anchor: FINAL NOTE :anchor:

Again, we would like to emphasize that ATLAS is still in Early Access after 2+ years, meaning we forgot about the atlas progression map, we don't care about your input no matter if you were with the game since day 1, we will do whatever we want, take it or leave it kind of deal :)

As always, we appreciate the suggestions and feedback from the community. Please keep them coming! Thank you for all of your support! 🙂
