Tame Limit in Fucking PVE

Recommended Posts

How can it be that on the PVE server there is a global server tame limit .... we are on the fucking PVE server ........ increase the numbers and take care of it -.- you only need one number in the script change but that is surely too difficult -.- the fucks a lot of up ..... and not only E8 is affected by it, you take care of such simple things ..... that is 5 minutes of work ...... prefer to invest time in something like that and not shit in the question answer

I dont believe there is a server tame limit other than the company limit, i think its a grid tame limit which I believe is 300ish.  You can bring in more tames than 300 but you cant breed or tame something once that limit is reached.  This is mainly a result of breeders (mainly bears) who have a massive number of tames trying to breed stats.  increasing the limit as you suggested wont fix anything as that number will get capped pretty quick and the same issue arises.  Perhaps create a "Behavior" for tames called "Breeder."  Only tames with that behavior set can actually breed and limit that number?

There is a server tame limit and a company tame limit, these are two separate things. It was the same in Ark.

You can see the company time limit, you cant see the server limit.

If the server (Grid server) is at its capacity then no one in that grid will be able to breed or tame animals.

The server wont tell you what the number is or how far away it is from being reached but you know when its hit as tames will refuse to mate and when you walk up to a wild animal it will not show how to tame it in the grey writing.

Whats frustrating is that although the server limit has been reached people can still import more tames to that grid thus putting the server over its cap. And as we don't know what the limit is or how far from the limit it is there's no way to know whats required to fix it.

This is so annoying when people bread or tame a lot pets in grid. At the moment beastmaster skill tree is unbalanced. If you want just to ride Tier 3 then you must know other three  Tier 2 Skills. This should be adjusted and pointed should be readjusted. Ridding should be separate, same as taming and breeding. Ridding is going to unlock Saddles Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3. Also a new skill like "Animal Lover" which is increase how amount tamed animals you can have. By defaults players should have way more less tamed animals limit and if you want to have more when you should study and learn. So players have to specialise what they want from skill tree.

At the moment all players are forced to learn more skills then they shouldn't and this why you have so much tamed animals.

You could theoretically grief someones breeding operation by moving a large qty of tames into a grid.

Offical PVE C7and D7 is server tame limit.
It cannot be tamed and reproduced from a few days ago.

C7 is still at its limit? Dang.... I visited C7 from H4 last weekend for a couple of days, and couldn't even tame a sheep there to bring back home. That's actually how I personally found out about server/grid having a tame limit.

The problem is that server capacity is a finite resource.

Meaning that there is a certain number of tames, above which the server will stop working.

That means, having no tame limit is not going to work.

Since no carebear could ever wrap their mind around having even one stupid ass tame fewer than whatever astronomical number they had in mind, it is impossible to find a tame limit that is not going to be met.

The only thing that could possibly counteract this problem is to have a tame decay system in place.

If you haven't used one of your tames for ages, you should get a warning message directing you to move said tame out of the grid and if you don't, it is going to be removed from the game.

If anyone still wants to keep his thirty million fucking bears, they can pay for the increased requirements in server hardware.

If you pay for having your million bear server, you may have it. If you don't pay, you are using up other peoples (server hardware-)resources.

LOSE SOME FUCKING TAMES ALREADY you greedy, filthy, selfish, boundless carebears !

And it is the exact same problem with all your barbie dream houses and 30 million piece disney castles and harbors.

Be a part of the solution instead of being part of the fucking problem!

PvP has an inherent mechanism to reduce the amount of tames itself.

You just need to reduce their health to zero.

SImple fix....set a player tame limit that can only be "boosted" by a certain number via the beastmaster skill chain.  No real reason for 1 player to have dozens of tames unless they're breeders.  but that also needs to be nerfed to not allow 300 tames in a building just so a player can get mutations faster.....ease up on the mutation RNG a bit to allow for lower number of tames.  Perhaps make RNG "stack" so a "failed to get mutation" slightly increases the next breeding cycle?

How about just optimizing the game again?
We had no major problems with amount of tames in season 2, but with each patch the performace goes down.

And we had > 1000 tames in one grid back then as a single company. And it was temperate lawless many other big breeders were in that grid too.
