I have the same error..... 
I had traveled to another island to farm resources. On the way back to my "home-port" I could do no more damage to enemy ships which irritated me already. When there were no trees on "my" island, I thought I would start the game again. But now every time I start the game comes the Fatal Error Version 401.5
