Stuck in Respawn screen after dying.

Recommended Posts

This happens EVERY time for me.

I die and choose my Respawn on my Schooner.

The 1st time I did this I waited for 10 minutes because I knew his horrible the load times are, but then after 15 I had to quit to the main screen and relog in, and then it asks me to choose my Respawn point again.

Is this happening to anyone else?

I'm playing single player on XB1 and I have 100mb up/down fiber internet, so its not too bad.

This time it spawned me on a bed on the 1st island I ever found,  6 tiles away from my schooner.

So,  I tried to fast travel from there, except I couldn't.

NONE of my other beds were shown as valid spawn points.

The map shows the path I took to the island where I died,  so it saved my latest progress, just no spawn points.

I don't know what to do. I can't swim 6 tiles to my Schooner.

Does this mean my Schooner and all my stuff including over 4,000 hold pieces is gone for good??

This is unbelievable!

Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks

Your ship and stuff will still be there.

This is a bug caused by the game "losing track" of your ship when you cross a zone. This can be prevented by logging out and back in, which will force the game to locate all your resources and possessions. This needs to be done before you die of course.

You can use "cheat fly" to return and collect your ship for now, it will be where you left it.

Hopefully they will fix this issue soon.
