Lost a crew member and 3 boars. Why?

I've been sailing across the current grid for awhile and its been night time.

Once daylight hit I saw that all 3 boars are gone as well as the crew member that wasn't assigned to sails, he did the repairs.  

Why did this happen?

Crew member can't just despawn can they?

I have over 5,000 gold and food, so that's not it.

Any ideas?

known 10 months old bug, when you cross a grid sometimes your pets/NPCs dont cross it with you and end up floating in the sea in the grid you just left from

It blows me away in his either people in forums can't read ir just don't read.

Normaly I would agree, but....

Anyway OP.

Two ways this can ligitimately happen, cyclones can give a small pushback, cannonballs landing on the deck can give a large pushback.

If you have an open deck and nothing blocking them from the small lip at the edge of the ship that pushback can send unmounted crew and tames into the sea.

If neither of these things occured I've no idea.

I've seen tames desync of fall off ships mid grid.  Rare event as its never happened to me, but I've seen it happen to others and have found quite a few tames randomly floating in the sea.  Usually belongs to an ally so we just mark the position and tell them about it.  Most of the time its a crap tame and they just leave it.

I mean how much of a loser do you have to be to ask a question and then call someone stupid for trying to help? If something happened to your pixels and you dont know why I can give you a hint; probably karma ya efin d bag...

is not sailing across is sailing around kiddo, so instead of playing atlas how about a good book instead, you need it

probably you should also take your tranqulizers before writting, not only you are overly hostile but also unreadable:
