"The UE4 ShooterGame Game has crashed and will close"

Recommended Posts

After successfully playing Single Player mode for a few weeks, I now get the above message whenever I try to log onto Single Player.  NA PVE logs in just fine.  Any ideas?  Thank you.

I was hoping the last patch would solve this problem, but no dice.

I get this all the time .. but it is a first using a Blackwood line .. Wish you all would do some UE4 and D3D Optimization to the game .. I have uninstalled the game after this one .. just because I'm tired of crash several times a day while playing Atlas.

Hope this helps .. Thank you

PS: Why DO ALL the ERROR Reports use .. " File:H\ " .. when 99% of the computer don't have an ( H ) drive ??

After this latest patch, I no longer can play Blackwood either.  I don't get the Ocean error message, but I instead I get an overlay that won't allow me to play Blackwood.  When I remove the overlay, it just puts me back to the server menu again.  Oh, and my NA PVE galleon disappeared.  Lovely game.

"No sessions found"    Great, now I can't play Atlas at all.  This is getting irritating.  *sighs like a horse*

I already had that setting at "low" and I get repeated crashes with "blackwood" in the error path since the last (or next to last) update.

It's still happening multiple times daily.  Not fun.

Note that I'm not playing blackwood at all now, although i did for a few days after it's intro.

Well is it (Error: 0x887A0006) ?

Because setting terrain shadows to low solved the repetitive crashes for several people I talk to including myself, I crashed only twice with same error since.

While I was crashing  several times within 10 minutes before ! I have not played Blackwood since last update do, and I have seen many people with blackwood problem after that patch.

Maybe you have another type of crash ..., IF NOT this is what JAT says bellow about that (Error: 0x887A0006):

This is a known crash with UE4 games at the moment, it can happen with both Nvidia and AMD cards, though based on the reports we see it appears to be most common with Nvidia. Unreal has an issue tracker up for it at the moment, the targetted fix is for version 4.24 which is the next version (though that's not a guarantee), if they are able to resolve it or make changes to mitigate the crash, we'll be incorporating their fixes as soon as possible.

https://issues.unrealengine.com/issue/UE-74575

In any case I hope things get more stable for you

When trying to play single player or online I'm getting

"The UE4-ShooterGame Game has crashed
Assertion failed: RawPointer != nullptr [File:h:\yarkupdateblackwood\engine\source\runtime\core\public\windows\COMPointer.h] [Line: 103]"

During the load screen or sometimes a few minutes after getting into the game, I haven't even tried getting on a blackwood map yet.
I hope this eventually gets fixed.

Do you think you'd be able to get me a record of what you're seeing when you try to start the game? I am unsure of what you mean by overlay.

Thank you for responding, Jatheish.  I get the overlay when I attempt to open Blackwood.  By overlay I mean a see-thru screen with a timer/current session/past two weeks/total hours on the top left.  The top right says ATLAS/game groups/workshop/controller configurations/Force Quit.  At the bottom of the screen are the topics for Friends/News/Guide/Screenshots/Community Hub/Discussions.  I can't get further than this in the matter of opening Blackwood.  In addition to this overlay, I also get a Download window for Blackwood--Atlas expansion map, which won't download anything, which shouldn't even be an issue since I already downloaded and played Blackwood once some time ago.

When I attempt to play SinglePlayer Ocean, I just get the window called "The UE4 shootergame game has crashed and will close," Assertion Failed, Version 218.27.
