The view keeps juimping back to default

When sailing my Brig my view in third person keeps jumping back tp the default view of right behind the ship. I don't have this issue on my schooner. This happens every second or two making it very difficult to steer my ship. I've tried turning down all the graphic settings in case my old 970 wasn't keeping up but that has not improved the glitch. Any ideas appreciated.

I would try moving the steering wheel, something must be bugging it.

the atlas map keeps jumping back to default zoom level each time it opens, too.

I know this problem. Place the wheel on another spot (maybe 1ft more to the right) and it will work.
