Request for new ships

Instead of new underwater pets that only can be tamed by level 846534 mega company members i suggest new ships for that... ship game ?

Maybe something between raft and sloop, that can be sailed by a single person and is faster than the bigger ships ?

Talono And his hate against Megas. Why Dont you Play Single player soon, there are no megas^^  or you do what Most solo Players do And do it on your own. There is literally Nothing you cant do solo. You can tame crabs with a Diving suit if you are to Lazy to kill the Kraken solo. You can do the do powerstones with bow And arrow.

they are after all, the supposed backbone of the game and are at the heart of what we do across the atlas. 

Admittedly , schooner and galleon are pretty much at the opposite ends of what we need, we don’t really need anything smaller than the schooner, or anything bigger than a galleon. But what about some specialised ships in between which have specific strengths and weaknesses.

for example, a frigate. Maybe slightly bigger than a brig, substantially more gunports, perhaps it has a higher gain for resistance and damage, but lower for weight and crew? 

Or a Barque that has bigger gains for weight and crew, and smaller gains for everything else (kind of a specialised transport)

ultimately, we need more ships as let’s be honest, no one asked for a seahorse, and now it’s been given to us, no one really wants it.

I agree that we Need More Ship but new creatures are cool too. Yet i would like the seahorse to be a better dhingy kinda there Needs to be 2 ships between the gally And Brig i think. I also really miss larger Gates for ships And Gates that replace planks to create a side dope for tames,as this is the biggest market in atlas. Would also love to See Schoners with fishing nets that can farm Fish And if Cooking gets more Important add New Fish for biomes to create a proper market for food.

Lol the only way they would add more ships is if we all band together and request ships be tame-able. Then we will get 4 or 5 every patch.

Is he wrong about wanting more ships though? You focused on his other opinion about Megas rather than the request for new ships.

Very cool. I just read this comment after I replied to your first. This is an awesome response actually. I am also a very big fan of tames and would like to see them continue to be added.

Sometimes there are those rare Moments where im a Nice Person And Not sarcastic^^ but Talonos Post always Starts with "can we please not lock thatch structures to megas only "  And hes also not good in discussion  but yeah there are loads of Ideas for new ships And Features for them  And as someone who mainly makes Gold from trading ships there is Plenty if stuff i would love to see^^

I would definitely like to see more ships. Mainly those of the “speedier” variety. I did sea of thieves for awhile and it was cool and all but I am an ark player through and through. Sure I’ll do some sea battles but I am going to grind, build, tame my way through probably 7000 plus hours here like I did ark.

hell, I am a grinder and a builder. I will probably have so many ships there are atleast 50% I never even step foot on after they are built. I won’t care if they disappear either lol. That wasn’t making fun of the timers or anything, I just keep looking forward.

I have a big time love-hate relationship with these guys. 

If you have noticed there have been people that say they usually find what I say insightful but then get mad at certain things I say. It happens. You just keep moving forward and never look back.

either way you don’t seem to bad. Sure we have argued at times(mostly) but hey, it’s all good.

dont worry I hate Megas too but it is for a completely different reason.

Canoe? Kayak? Rafloop...

 

I'd like to see more varients of ship designs.. but I'd also like to see ships nerfed.. so they can't even put cannons anywhere.. without gun ports.  Thus removing chasers and kiting from the game.  At least in the way it is currently used.

Pets are ok, but please pets that can be tamed by everybody, like when Atlas started, not like now new stuff only for gangbang superheroes, who are not able to solo anything.

I tried ARK again, but really had to vermin. Mega companies in Atlas are really no problem compared to ARK, where Iron Man (TEK superman) is hunting beach bobs from the air with his plasma rifle.

And in ARK all metal bases are raided,  in Atlas i only take minor damage, as the megas are too lazy to send their mythical galleons after me.

But back to the topic, good suggestions !

New dingy, kanoe. And specialized new ships. Maybe a frigate, that has many cannons but limited weight for transport ?

And an east indian merchant ship, that is clumsy but has tons of weight ?

Focus on ships please, as Atlas is a game about ships !

I would imagine they are saving new ships for a "Grand Release " kinda thing.  Perhaps when they take the game out of EA so they can advertise five new ships to try and help minimize the original train wreck of a release into EA and bring new people in (or back). 

I would ..... new ships are a big deal and they know it.

yea that's what Im thinking too, you would not want to release the good stuff to a handful of bloodthirsty hardcores. when you can save it for xbox release! I would only release trash updates to a few hundred people world wide who are playing atm. the devs are not stupid.
